Underemployed

Once again crowdsourcing for content, it's the fourth Q&A episode of Underemployed! Jack and David catch up on life a bit before getting to the questions (around the 11:10 mark of the episode), which include THAT question about Carole Baskin, Tom Brady leaving the Patriots, mean questions about Jack, worst dates, music people would be surprised they like, how the two have maintained their friendship for so long, and so much more. Plus a bonus bit sees Jack fantasize about cloning Mannie Fresh!

With the Coronavirus having grounded the world to a halt, Jack and David lament the loss of the Mascot Melee Bracket, but have a backup plan in mind. They do a mini-bracket of the greatest American sports moments, including a Barry Bonds civil war, a patriot vs. a 98 year old nun, telling Hitler to shove it, Charles Barkley's views on Angola, and not realizing until halfway through the episode that they forgot to include the Miracle on Ice. All this and more in what we hope will be a fun distraction!

Cowboy Jack and Old Man David take the world by storm, a grizzly battles a cyclone, being punished by The Lord, a whole lot of Shaq references, and plenty more! To celebrate the two year anniversary of Underemployed, David and Jack take a look back at each of the episodes over the past year for YOU PEOPLE, including the guests that range from a platonic friend, to an infectiously positive fitness trainer, a ferocious native of Richmond, and a bonafide YouTube celebrity! Plus they receive well-wishes, or at least wishes of SOME variety, plus the return of the Supercut of the funniest lines at the end.

Following the shocking news of Kobe Bryant's death, Jack and David discuss his legacy (the good, the bad, and the good that emerged from the bad.) Then to lighten the mood, they also have news jabs that include karmic cockfighting, how to spend nearly $90,000 on iTunes, and Gritty punching a teenager in the head, plus a new Stump the Slob.

Can Sister Jean repeat as Woman of the Year? Is this the year "Shabba" is dethroned as Song of the Year? Will Jack pick his own sister's wedding as the best of the decade? Can PJ Anderson win Podcast Guest of the Year? (No.) How far is Jack willing to go for a joke? All of these questions and more will be answered as David and Jack present the second annual Undie Awards, this time adding categories to the best of the 2010s decade! Plus it's all Christmas-y up in here!

Back through the miracle of Skype and the blunderment of Jack's inability to record properly, it's Underemployed! For the first time in a year, David and Jack conduct an Underemployed episode via Skype, catching up on Jack's new job, from the initial struggles to the eventual triumphs. The former next door neighbors/college classmates discuss Welyn's various endeavors over the years and how he transformed from a small boi learning maths at school, to a thick boi powerlifter, battle rapping, accounting, and finally as a YouTuber with over 1.25 MILLION (!) subscribers to his channel! Underemployed is back with its first ever fellow bearded guest, the Cat Daddy* himself, Nick Livingstone! Nick is here to call former roommate David out on his shit, and if that's somehow not enough to convince you to listen, they also talk about the worst bar interaction of all time, David pissing off the entire Mary Washington lacrosse team, the Women's World Cup, the fallout of the Stanley Cup and NBA Finals, Jack's eventual demise, Bernie Sanders as a baby, which athlete they would commit a crime with, Jeff Goldblum's sensuality, Thailand's late-1990's currency crisis, the return of trivia, and much more! Julie makes her first appearance on the show as a guest (but NOT her first appearance ever), and she talks about her career, how she and Jack met (#PlatonicFriendJulie), she and David discuss their favorite alcohols, and her love of pop punk and baseball! The episode also has a sizeable amount of real talk, with all three talking about coping with anxiety, struggling socially, and accepting responsibility. In spite of the lack of Cowboy Jack, this is still a great episode!
