She is the Chair of the Hush Foundation which transforms healthcare culture through use of the arts. Hush produces music for children, families and staff in hospitals around Australia. Hush has collaborated with renowned play write Alan Hopgood in the development of the plays “Hear Me”, “Do You Know Me” and “What Matters” which are performed in hospitals and Aged Care settings to raise awareness of patient centred care, communication and patient safety issues. Hush cofounded the Gathering of Kindness in 2016. In 2015 she became a Member of the Order of Australia for her contribution to medicine, to community healthcare standards and to the Arts. www.hush.org.au

At the age of 4 her parents sold their house and bought a Kombi, they painted a sun on it and call it Bertha. She spent the next several years travelling Australia living up and down the coast and around Byron Bay in various hippy communes. ​ Eventually they settled in the cult Ananda Marga, this is where Bhavani learnt to cook vegan meals and other vegan delights. ​Bhavani has been a singer and Musician running a massive choir in Rozelle this is where she found the location for the Green Lion..... we won't say anymore so pop on your head phones, pour yourself a vegan red and a few vegan snacks and have a listen to Bhavani's Journey.​​
