  • Episode #70- And She's Dope Too- Lady Wild Film Festival

    07/02/2017 Duración: 55min

We were super excited to get an invitation from And She's Dope Too (ASDT) to come and do a show at the Inaugural "Lady Wild Film Fest" here in Ogden, UT. The film fest showcased both feature length and short films with a strong female lead of characters. The purpose of the festival is to rally around ladies in film who are pushing the boundaries of understanding, adventure and sisterhood in their daily lives. ASDT is an amazing group of people and we were lucky to sit down with 4 of them: Julie Cornelius, Francesca Weikert (Franny), Shonny Vanlandingham and Rachel Pohl... and of course Fritz- the world class running weiner dog. During these interviews we talked about their upcoming trip to Nepal and all the good things they will be doing with the Ladies Mountain League (LML). Take some time to head over to the links in the show note and check it out. We hope you all enjoy the show! • Episode #69- Ty Draney & Debbie Farka: DNF and Donut Eating Contest

    31/01/2017 Duración: 01h24min

We sure love it when some of our favorite people come back for another podcast. On this trip down, Ty hit the trails with Debbie Farka (returning guest) and the TrailManners crew on a magical snowy run and we must say his bionic leg is working great! After the run we tried and tried to get Joel's truck unstuck from the big snowfall but to no avail and we had to return later for a go. During the show we talked about Ty's recovery, his amazing race in Afton and we all chimed in on the subject of DNF's. The show was full of fun and we threw in a donut eating contest to spice things up. Unfortuantely we ran out of donuts but we never did run out of laughs. The great part of this show is Ty's "Neck Meat" was on point! Enjoy the show! Show Notes: #Neck Meat Sugery and recovery El Vaquero Donut Eating Contest The DNF Donut Count (Ty 9, Aric 7, Joel 4, Debbie 4)

We touch briefly on his race resume (Barkley, Wasatch) but we really wanted to get into his upcomng event: RUFA or Running Up for Air. Air quality in Utah and especially the Salt Lake valley during the winter is...well let's just say- horrible. When Jared was training for Barkely a few years ago he wanted to make running something more than just about himself. After some thought and talking with others he came up with RUFA.  Please have listen and check out the links below for more information. We hope to help Jared fill his event on Febraury 11th to help raise more awareness to this issue. Whether you do the 6, 12 or 24 hour event- it is sure to be a grand time. It isn't just about the running though- you can volunteer, donate or help spread the word.  TrailManners would like to not only thank Jared for his time but also for all h
