    18/03/2020 Duración: 50min

Dear Brethren our world, much including Freemasonry, is working through a darkened hour. We have seen the prompt and drastic impact that the current COVID-19 virus has played on Masonic meetings and gatherings across the country and globe but this is not the first time the Craft has had to make quick decisions in the best interest of the Brethren. Join us in this episode as the Historical Light historians guide us through how Freemasonry is currently being affected by this historic epidemic which we are living through and mix in some enlightening comparison with some equally troubling situations from our past Brethren as well.

Knights of Pythias and Freemasonry | HL 38

    18/02/2020 Duración: 01h19min

Chivalry! Honor! Friendship! In this postmodern era, the once-sacred idea of what constitutes a friend has been watered down for most by the simple click of an ADD or REMOVE button. Join us with special guests Dylan John Callahan and Casey Pemberton as we explore the ancient Greek tale of Pythagorean mystics Damon and Pythias. The important lessons from that tale have been the central aim of the Knights of Pythias since its formal creation during the American Civil War. Bro. Powers considers becoming a Knight, Bro. Marshall recites some poetry, and even Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin garner mention as we discover a film originally created to be a celebration of their famous bond.

Additional to that my younger brother passed away just over a week ago so things have been crazy. I do apologize that we have not been keeping our regular schedule but I hope you can understand why. Tonight we are featuring an interview with Brother and Masonic Author Julian Rees. He is bringing us not only some history behind his publications but a look into the start of the Co- Masonic orders with Le Droit Humain.  This is a very tabu subject for a lot of people but we are not going at this in a debate format instead we are merely taking a look at the history behind it.   Want your company announced on the show?
