S33 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Muazh رضي الله عنه participated in all of the expeditions during The Messenger’s ﷺ lifetime
21/08/2025 Duración: 25minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S33) Whilst we fight battles with shaytaan between good deeds and sins, Muazh رضي الله عنه was battling between the better of 2 good deeds - such was the level of his Taqwa. Muazh رضي الله عنه participated in all of the expeditions during The Messenger’s ﷺ lifetime. He was ~20 years old at Badr. The Messenger ﷺ instructed Muazh رضي الله عنه to stay in Makkah during the battle of Hunayn, to teach the new reverts about Islam, using the Qur’an. Teaching the faith to your brothers and sisters is also like Jihad - a unique honour for Muazh رضي الله عنه.

S32 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ: “The little and sufficient is better than the abundant and alluring”.
20/08/2025 Duración: 25minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S32) Muazh رضي الله عنه warns the people of a severe test: Ease. Many assume difficulties are a harder test, however ease is a much bigger concern. It is a greater threat to progress than difficulty. The Messenger ﷺ: “The little and sufficient is better than the abundant and alluring”. Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه advised the Companions (رضي الله عنهم): “…It is better for you to be beheaded than swim in the intoxications of this world”. Hasan Ibn Ali رضي الله عنهم: “The least of the world is sufficient. The whole of it doesn’t enrich you”.

S31 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Time and wealth must be divided equally between one’s wives
19/08/2025 Duración: 27minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S31) Muazh رضي الله عنه had 2 wives. He رضي الله عنه was so cautious about their rights, if it was the turn of one of the wives, he wouldn’t make wudhu nor drink water from the other wives dwelling! When both wives were martyred by the plague of Amwas, he drew lots to determine which to bury first - ensuring equality right till the very end. Time and wealth must be divided equally between one’s wives. If one fears he cannot do this, he must marry one woman. (Surah [4:3]) Muazh رضي الله عنه had utmost ghayrah. This was a fitting trait, being as he is from the Khazraj tribe, whose leader was Sa’ad Ibn Ubadah رضي الله عنه, another man having utmost Ghayrah. A true sign of the greatness of a man can be seen by how he treats his women - Muazh رضي الله عنه as usual, was chasing the highest standard.

S30 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - A glimpse into his Taqwa:
18/08/2025 Duración: 27minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S30) Muazh رضي الله عنه was once walking with a man when he suddenly picked up a stone and moved it out the way. The man enquired. Muazh رضي الله عنه said that he heard The Messenger ﷺ say: “Whoever removes a stone/rock from the pathway, he will be granted a Hasanah. Whoever has one Hasanah, will enter Paradise”. Muazh رضي الله عنه took every opportunity to do a good deed - not belittling any of them. Had not come true the dua that The Messenger ﷺ taught Muazh? رضي الله عنه An immense worshipper, who came to conquer, not complete. A glimpse into his Taqwa: Muazh رضي الله عنه said: “Whoever wilfully knows who is stood to his right or left whilst praying, has not truly prayed”.

S29 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Walk to your Rizq. Race to Paradise. Flee to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى.
18/08/2025 Duración: 31minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S29) Muazh رضي الله عنه advised his friend: You are guaranteed your Rizq, but not guaranteed success in the next life. So strive for the Hereafter, and don’t over chase the pointless excess of this life. The Messenger ﷺ: “Whoever arises with this world as his greater concern, will feel panic and anxiety. You will not receive anything except that which is in your Rizq. Whoever arises with the Hereafter as his greater concern, will feel peace and serenity and the world will come to him willingly or unwillingly”. Walk to your Rizq. Race to Paradise. Flee to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى.

S28 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Muazh رضي الله عنه said avoid these 3 things. If you do not, you will be resented.
18/08/2025 Duración: 33minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S28) The last conversation that Muazh رضي الله عنه had with The Messenger ﷺ, he asked: “what deed is most beloved to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى?”. The Messenger ﷺ replied: “At the end of your, life to make your tongue moist with Zhikr”. Muazh رضي الله عنه loved circles of knowledge. He would say: “Sit with us for an hour, so we may increase our belief”. This was a common practice amongst the Companions رضي الله عنهم. Muazh رضي الله عنه said avoid these 3 things. If you do not, you will be resented. 1) To laugh without reason. 2) To sleep and not awake for Salah. 3) To eat without being hungry.

S27 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Muazh رضي الله عنه said that Zhikr is greater than Jihad - it was also more beloved to him.
18/08/2025 Duración: 32minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S27) Jaabir رضي الله عنه: “Muazh (رضي الله عنه) was the handsomest of people, physically, physique wise and in character. He was very generous. He never said no. He thus had a debt that was greater than his wealth”. Muazh رضي الله عنه would sleep the first part of the night, then awake and recite the Qur’an in tahajjud. Muazh رضي الله عنه said that Zhikr is greater than Jihad - it was also more beloved to him.

S26 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - A glimpse into Muazh’s رضي الله عنه immense love for worship…
14/08/2025 Duración: 30minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S26) A few questions one may ask: If you’ve prayed Salah at home and there is a Jamaat, can you repeat the prayer? The Shaafis (r.h) say yes, all prayers can be repeated. The Hanbalis and Malikis (r.h) say all can be repeated, except Maghrib. The Hanafis (r.h) say only Isha and Zuhr can be repeated. (The intention when repeating is for Nafl, not fardh). Hanafis, Hanbalis and Malikis (r.h) agree that the imam and followers must be of the same intention both outwardly and inwardly. Shaafis (r.h) say the intention can differ. Fiqh is a deep topic - only when we study through the lives of the companions رضي الله عنهم do we get an understanding of it. A glimpse into Muazh’s رضي الله عنه immense love for worship…

S24 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The virtue of Ayatul Kursi
14/08/2025 Duración: 33minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S24) Other Companions (رضي الله عنهم) also had run ins with the shayateen, including; Abu Hurayrah, Abu Ayub and Ubayy Ibn Ka’ab رضي الله عنهم. All these separate incidents point towards the virtue of Ayatul Kursi. Below are some of the benefits: - Reading it in your household protects you from the Shaytaan and from others. - they cannot enter your home. - reading it before bed has you appointed a guard till the morning. - reading it in the morning protects you till the evening, reading it in the evening protects you till morning.

S23 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Muazh رضي الله عنه reached ihsaan
11/08/2025 Duración: 31minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S23) Muazh رضي الله عنه reached ihsaan - “When it is the morning, I don’t know if I’ll reach the evening. When I take a step, I don’t know if I’ll make the next. I see the Ummahs kneeling on the Day of Judgement…”. Piety becomes the observer. Qur’an becomes the guide. Nobility is his trade. Caution is his companion. Salah is his cavern. Fasting is his shield… Muazh رضي الله عنه was instructed by The Messenger ﷺ to capture a shaytaan who was taking dates from his [رضي الله عنه] household.

S22 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Muazh رضي الله عنه was one of few who were selected to give fatwa
11/08/2025 Duración: 32minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S22) Muazh رضي الله عنه was one of few who were selected to give fatwa - that too in the lifetime of The Messenger ﷺ. Masrook (r.h): “You can find the knowledge of the Companions [رضي الله عنهم] with 6; Umar, Ali, Abdullah Ibn Masood, Abu Darda, Muazh Ibn Jabal and Zayd Ibn Thaabit [رضي الله عنهم]”. The Messenger ﷺ: “Muazh رضي الله عنه will be raised on the Day of judgment a stones throw ahead of all the scholars”. Abdullah Ibn Masood رضي الله عنه likened Muazh رضي الله عنه to Prophet Ibraaheem! ﷺ

S21 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ: “Prefer death when; authority is with the stupid.
10/08/2025 Duración: 26minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S21) The masses had received the Quran. Abdullah Ibn Abaas رضي الله عنهم said he didn’t like this, for: “They will recite it, and learn without guidance. They’ll have their own opinions and fight over them, killing eachother”. The Messenger ﷺ: “Prefer death when; authority is with the stupid. There is many policemen. Judgement is bought and sold. Evil is seen as significant and when the Quran is turned into a musical instrument - whilst the understanding is left out”. The Messenger ﷺ: “A time will come where all that will remain of Islam is its name, and all that will remain of the Quran is its writing”. One must consider, are we reciting outwardly to impress others, or inwardly to please Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى?

S20 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ: “Indeed a great calamity is going to happen”
10/08/2025 Duración: 26minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S20) The Messenger ﷺ: “Indeed a great calamity is going to happen” The companions رضي الله عنهم asked how do we stay safe from this? The Messenger ﷺ replied: “Hold firm to the origin of your affairs”. (I.e turn to the pious predecessors and hold firm to the Qur’an and Sunnah). The Messenger ﷺ: “In front of you lays fitnah. Money will be abundant. The Quran will be opened. The believer, disbeliever, hypocrite, man, woman, slave, freed, young and old will all recite it. A man will recite it and say: ‘I know the Quran, why does no one follow me?’. The man will be in his home, make a room into a masjid and will innovate things not found in the Quran or Sunnah! Be wary of this misguidance”.

S19 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ: “Seek to read the Qur’an from 4
10/08/2025 Duración: 28minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S19) The Messenger ﷺ: “Seek to read the Qur’an from 4; Abdullah Ibn Masood, Saalim Mawla Abu Hudayfah, Ubayy Ibn Ka’ab and Muazh Ibn Jabal [رضي الله عنهم]”. The 4 Collectors of the Qur’an in the lifetime of The Messenger ﷺ; Ubayy Ibn Ka’ab, Muazh Ibn Jabal, Zayd Ibn Thaabit and Abu Zayd رضي الله عنهم. Collectors of the Qur’an here means hearing, obeying and doing what is commanded therein. Memorised, mastered and implemented! Muazh رضي الله عنه did so in his 20s - a feat not many can claim.

06/08/2025 Duración: 32minMuazh Ibn Jabal (رضي الله عنه) (S18) The Sunnah of making up missed rakats was introduced by Muazh رضي الله عنه, and The Messenger ﷺ ordered us to follow suit. Now, billions follow - imagine the honour for Muazh! رضي الله عنه The Messenger ﷺ: “The most compassionate of my Ummah, to my Ummah is Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه. The strictest in religious rulings is Umar رضي الله عنه. The truest in Haya is Uthmaan رضي الله عنه. The best reciter of the Qur’an is Ubay Ibn Ka’ab رضي الله عنه. The most learned in inheritance laws is Zayd Ibn Thaabit رضي الله عنه. The most learned in matters of Halal and Haram is Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه. Every Ummah has a trustworthy one, this Ummah has Abu Ubaydah رضي الله عنه”. Umar, Ali and Muazh رضي الله عنهم all share the same opinion with regards to a Hadith - such is an honour to be amongst these two great souls.

S17 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Muazh رضي الله عنه, though young, gained knowledge to an extent one can only dream of.
06/08/2025 Duración: 26minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S17) Muazh رضي الله عنه, though young, gained knowledge to an extent one can only dream of. Two people will never be satiated; The seeker of knowledge & the one who chases the Duniya. Luqmaan (a.s) advised his son (رضي الله عنه): “Make it fardh upon yourself to sit with the people of knowledge”. The first revelation to be revealed after a ~600 year gap was “Iqra” - One must seek knowledge, from the cradle to the grave…

S16 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Muazh رضي الله عنه asked The Messenger ﷺ “Where does mischief lie?”,
06/08/2025 Duración: 24minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S16) Muazh رضي الله عنه asked The Messenger ﷺ “Where does mischief lie?”, The Messenger ﷺ replied: “Don’t ask of mischief, ask about good - to answer your question, the greatest mischief is from wicked scholars”. Umar رضي الله عنه: “The ones who will destroy this Ummah are hypocrites with educated tongues”. Muazh رضي الله عنه: “Acquire knowledge, it is an excellent thing. Seeking it is worship. Reviewing it is glorifying Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى. Researching it is Jihad. Teaching it to the ignorant is charity”. The ants in their holes and whales in the sea pray for those who teach good.

S15 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The head of faith is Islam. The support is Salah. The Peak is jihad. The controller of all these is the tongue!
03/08/2025 Duración: 26minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S15) The head of faith is Islam. The support is Salah. The Peak is jihad. The controller of all these is the tongue! Muazh رضي الله عنه had such intimate moments with The Messenger ﷺ that he related a Hadith even Abdullah Ibn Amr رضي الله عنهم hadn’t heard - the latter being one of the most prolific narrators! Muazh رضي الله عنه relates a Hadith regarding signs of the hour… “The restoration of Bayt al-Maqdis. The Destruction of Yathrib, The Destruction of Yathrib…”.

S14 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Companions رضي الله عنهم didn’t want The Messenger ﷺ to pass away before them
03/08/2025 Duración: 28minMuazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S14) The Messenger ﷺ: “O Muazh [رضي الله عنه]. A content heart, a tongue moist with Zhikr and a righteous wife - these are far greater than wealth for which people aspire”. The Companions رضي الله عنهم didn’t want The Messenger ﷺ to pass away before them. They’d pray to pass away before him. Muazh رضي الله عنه asked, should you (ﷺ) pass away before us, what deeds should we do afterwards? Muazh رضي الله عنه mentioned Jihad, Sadaqah, Fasting, and then mentioned every single good deed. Our Messenger ﷺ gave the same reply: All these deeds are done in abundance [i.e in the times of the companions رضي الله عنهم. One cannot even fathom the level of piety that was present!] There was one deed which The Messenger ﷺ instructed to do: “Remain silent. Speak only when necessary and speak good”. Muazh رضي الله عنه visibly became ill when he was searching for deeds to enter Jannah and to protect him from Hell. Such was his Taqwa - The Messenger ﷺ told him of Nafl fasts, Sadaqah and Tahajj
