Prosperity After Dark
16/12/2015 Duración: 01h29minWe recorded this episode the week before the Paris attacks, and thought it would be wise to hold off as the world re-oriented to that tragedy. Our prayers are still with those involved in that situation, and all the ensuing chaos. God have mercy. As I type this, I can't remember what we talk about in this episode, but I remember we laughed a lot about it afterward. We hope you enjoy and that you become a better Christian because you are listening to Christian podcasts by Christian thinkers with Christian ideas and Christian Christianity, etc. Now get rich or die trying.

Coffee and Cigarettes
23/09/2015 Duración: 01h16minOn this episode, the guys record during the day and don't talk that much about theology. "Why then do you call your podcast Theology After Dark?" Because we are the ones who are making it, and we can call it whatever we want. It's not like you people are paying for this. It's free. I'm sick of fighting this battle with you guys. Also, thanks for listening. We are just a couple of jokesters and we really enjoy making this podcast. Thank you for downloading it, even if you are only doing it to make us feel validated. It's working. We feel validated. "Innovation thrives in discarded spaces." ~Steven Johnson

Pulpit and Sin
05/01/2015 Duración: 01h23minFrom JD Hall of Pulpit and Pen (twitter: @fbc_jd), after his twitter clash with a 15 year old, before that fifteen year-old, Braxton, committed suicide: Repent for what, I would ask? What commandment has been broken? …You’re using his son’s immorality to criticize his father.” Technically, I’d say “his father’s leadership,” but yep – I did. It’s relevant. It’s Biblical. …This was not about “shaming” a young man (although he should be ashamed). His father has already shamed him. The content of his Twitter feed is shameful enough by itself. (Original Content was removed by JD Hall, but these excerpts were captured by The Wartburg Watch: http://thewartburgwatch.com/2014/08/05/jd-hall-and-friends-theological-thuggery-and-braxton-caners-suicide/ )

A Case for Clause
22/12/2014 Duración: 01h14minJake and Rich spend 40 minutes discussing trolls and other nonsense, until Zach van Dyke shows up, exuding theological prowess, and sets those fannies straight. Also, is it sinful to believe in Santa? Will you, or your family, be smited from heaven? Find out! "I had a nice pair of rollerblades. I was afraid to wreck them, so I kept them in a box. Do you know what happened? I outgrew them. I never wore them outside." ~Kevin McAllister, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

Zwarte Piet and the Average Joe
15/12/2014 Duración: 01h37minThis week we talk with Joe "Average Joe" Bubenik. Joe is a ground-breaking fantasy writer seeking to rewrite the Santa myth. Joe joins us for the whole episode. Jake was really tired, due to a grueling exam that he endured just moments before this podcast was recorded. This fact also contributed to his already feisty disposition. We are hoping this makes for good radio. Rich was in the backseat and chose not to compensate for his distance from the microphone, so it's questionable whether he should even be credited as a host on this episode. Brett is absent again, but has been working on extensive evidence for one of the most profound things we have ever pumped out. Keep checking our YouTube channel for that project, tentatively titled "Grace for Moms." If you haven't listened to this podcast, you are going to dig it. Next week's episode: a Case for Claus. Wherein we challenge all the Santa-Haters.

Cursing and a Canuck
01/12/2014 Duración: 01h34minOn episode six of the well-established and wildly popular podcast, Jake and Rich discuss the Ferguson riots, cursing, and Jake catches up with the crazy Canadian reformer Paul Dunk, eh. Here is a quote from G.K. Chesterton's play "Magic": I want you to bear witness to your own creed. I say these things are supernatural. I say this was done by a spirit. The Doctor does not believe me. He is agnostic; and he knows everything. ~The Conjurer

Flag Down a School Bus
24/11/2014 Duración: 01h36minOn this episode, Jake and Rich hit every topic that you were hoping they would. The word "sex" is mentioned at least twice, but not really dealt with at length. Even still, we can't totally recommend that you listen to this with your family. Meth is mentioned for like the fifth week in a row. There are way more Jesus rants on this episode, for sure, so buckle up. Sponsored by: School Bus Drivers of America

High Dives
17/11/2014 Duración: 01h18minOn this episode, Jake and Rich discuss all different things. Could this description really persuade you to listen or not? It's funny, okay. It's a funny podcast. We make funny podcasts. We do it every week. It's what we do. This one is called "High Dives", but you already read that. That's in reference to a story at the end. It doesn't even really have to do with the whole podcast. It's just a good way to title things. What? Do you have a better idea?
