70: Goal Digging - Make 2019 Your B Word!
29/11/2018 Duración: 22minBlack Friday is over and as a personal stylist, I actually avoided the shopping and sales like the plague! Does that surprise you? Many friends and family are shocked every year when I explain that I don't black Friday shop (actually for a lot of reasons), and then I explain what I always spend my holiday weekend actually doing... The Murphy duo become hermits on the weekend after Thanksgiving, seriously. My husband and I seclude ourselves from the world and take an entire day to become Goal Diggers. Now I know I didn't coin that term, (thank you to Jenna Kutcher for the term Goal Digger), but I think it is a great way to explain what I spend an entire day doing with my husband. We reflect on the previous year's goals, what big accomplishments were reached, where do we each need to reassess and change our personal/couple/business goals, and where do we see the next year taking us. Would you like to know our secrets, steps, and actionable ways to create concrete and attainable (aka measurable) goals? Listen to

69: Don't Give Up, Give BACK!
15/11/2018 Duración: 21minDon’t give up, give back! With the Thanksgiving season and holidays right around the corner, the consumerism is all around us. It can be an easy time to spiral into a state of overwhelm, hustle and bustle, and even the constant need to put things off until the “holidays are over” and wait until life “settle down.” Are you there already? Stressed about what to give as the perfect gift, or what to buy? Well in today’s podcast, I am actually talking about ways to GIVE that don’t include a price tag, receipt, or 2-day shipping. That’s right, we are talking about what it means to truly give back. How to give back, why it is important to do so – not just during the holiday season. Is there an organization you have benefitted from personally? A group or foundation you have always admired, maybe written a check out to, or attended a fundraiser for? It is time to take things into the next phase of giving and share your personal time, talents, and treasure with the groups and communities that help serve those in nee

68: I Have Been Hiding
08/11/2018 Duración: 22minI have been in hiding. Hiding from myself, never truly looking in the mirror, and using eyewear and glasses to hide from the world. In today's episode, listen to how I spent almost 30 years of my life feeling so unattractive, less than worthy, and utterly debilitated by my own self-consciousness - constantly telling myself I wasn't beautiful and only seeing my flaws. I let this negative self image become so paralyzing that there were days in school that I would simply skip class because I didn't have the confidence to leave the house. Alone. Locked inside, both physically and within the constraints of my own mind. Have you ever been this self-conscious? Letting it keep you from accomplishing goals or taking risks? Listen to find out how and when I finally started to feel confident, and how YOU can take these same tools to not only determine your own self-worth, but to start accomplishing your dreams. I can't wait to share my heart through this episode with you today. This is your one-stop shop for style,

66: It Is NOT My Fault... But It is...
13/09/2018 Duración: 20sHave you ever set a goal, and then failed to reach it? Rather than looking internally for where you fell short, have you then started to place the blame on others, telling yourself it isn't your fault that "x,y, or z" didn't come to fruition? Okay, we would all be lying if we denied the above. We have all had an instance where it was much easier to blame others for our own failures. In today's episode, Deidrafound herself blaming others for her own failures. Although it felt easier at the time to blame, it didn't help Deidra grow, course correct, or LEARN from the opportunity. Find out what she failed at, as well as how she's learning to accept responsibility for her own situations and create opportunities for growth in her life. How can you take the feedback from your situation and use it as a tool to learn, grow, and understand others? 64: Shave Your OWN Toes
09/08/2018 Duración: 08minYep, that is the title of today's episode, but you have to listen in to hear why! Deidra had a realization that the insecurities she has in herself, are the SAME attributes she dislikes in others. Is there someone in your life that has traits you don't see eye-to-eye with, or things that bother you about them? By focusing on the negative traits in others, it doesn't make our light shine brighter. In fact, those same qualities are probably the negative, limiting beliefs than run through our own head. In today's episode, Deidra opens up about her biggest insecurity and how she is constantly learning to show grace to others, including herself.
