In our Sunday sermon from May 14, 2023, Andy shares with us from John 14: 23-29.  Love is what holds our families together. Love is our birthmark from God, God's love for us, and the love we have for others, it's how others know that we are His.  

Yesterday we saw Habakkuk offer his complaint to God. Today we see God respond. Through Habakuk's eyes, things are terrible. Evil abounds. It is awful. But God says this; His judgment will not be delayed. It may seem to tarry, but it does not. God does not work or operate on our time. He works on His time. Today in Habakkuk 1, we see the prophet receive a vision from God. And do you know what this vision does?  It causes him to give voice to his complaint to God. Why do the wicked prosper?  Why do God's enemies win?  Why is there such evil in the world?  We see in Chapter 1 that we have a God who is big enough that He can handle our complaints. What exactly is the Bible?  Who were the prophets?  What did they do? In our final reflection on 2 Corinthians, we look at Paul's final words to the people. What does he leave them with?  Peace.  This town, this church, they know conflict. Church can be hard, y'all.  We see Paul talking about that today.  It is easy to write off church or to think that church really doesn't matter.  But it does. Church matters. In on our Traditional message from May 7, 2023, Andy shares with us from 1 Peter 2: 2-10.  We see in this passage where our identity is found. But do we live in the truth of who we are in Jesus?  Do we live in His grace as our primary identity?

 Paul tells us about a great vision. But because he needed to be humbled, he had a thorn in the flesh. All of us, we have a thorn in the flesh, a weakness that greatly troubles us.  How do we know what voice to follow? How do we know which preacher or leader is one that we should follow? Today we see that Paul is very honest with Corinth. Why? Because he loves them. In our Traditional message from April 30, 2023 Andy shares with us his favorite verse - John 10:10.  Jesus came to give us abundant life. That is what the world needs now, joyous abundant life. We only find that voice, through, by listening to the voice of the good shepherd.  

We see Paul continuing to teach about giving in this chapter. But he's really teaching about mutual love and connection. In our Traditional message from April 23, 2023, Andy shares with us from Luke 24: 13-35.  We see in this passage that Jesus walked with the disciples, but they did not see that He was with them.  Are we too busy to see that Jesus walks with us? 

Paul tells us all that he has gone through the sake of the Gospel.  He was beaten, abused, and talked about.  But he continued because Jesus called him and loved the people.  How often does our pride keep us from truly loving others? And where in our lives has our inability to open our hearts kept reconciliation from happening?  Where can we be more humble? And where can we open our hearts?
