Yup, we didn’t have one last week, we were away! Away where you ask? We were in London, ON, for our niece’s wedding! It was cool. there was a tea ceremony. We drove there last Wednesday, and returned partway home on Sunday. We stopped in Sudbury on the Sunday and boy was it smoky, the worst either of us have ever experienced. I mean so bad it felt like I’d smoked a pack of Players’ Plains. There was a monsoon while I was shopping.

Nice day today. Tom, Isabelle’s former prof and our former colleague, is in town. They are checking out the public art project from last year. We hope another colleague stays. No real smoke today, though it tastes like.a steel town.

Recorded on a Friday. Released on a Saturday. Rob Lee in a shambles! Today is convocation day, and Isabelle has a thing, which explains the odd recording time. The smoke has been crazy. The heat wave has broken.

Friday? Yes Friday, deal with it. Crazy week. I had a departmental retreat. Isabelle was a camera operator for the local cable tv channel. It is insanely hot. Today is also the fifteenth anniversary of my Dad’s death. Also, it’s pride month and the grocery store we usually go to has cool flags up. LCBO run! Bag, and no sign!

now that’s a title. Isabelle had a hectic week, all over the place. Our mayor speaks French. We got the last bottle of propane! (Oh that propane stop means an extra break this week). I have a departmental retreat next week. Yay?

I looked and this title was in my notes on backpack studio. Now, is it the one I typed in on Thursday? Look I don’t know, its not Monday. Monday? WHAT? Yes, we recorded most of this one on Thursday shopping, then finished up on Monday in the backyard. It is a holiday today. We went to Sudbury and Isabelle’s film was in a show! Jon was amazing (he came with us). Spring is finally here.

Early this week, as Isabelle has a thing in North Bay over the weekend. What a nice day! Definitely will be some cycling in store today. Well, not in the store, but you know what I mean. My cycling injuries are pretty much healed. Isabelle got fish and chips from a place. Trees are budding!

A bit early today as Isabelle has a thing. I got into a cycling accident this week. Don’t worry I’m fine. It’s not a pleasant day. Rain, 11 degrees, not great. Isabelle will be a cable access star! Still settling into the spring groove.

That title is, obviously, ironic…. 12 degrees and rainy today. Beats the hell out of last week. Isabelle has grants to work on, as usual. My term is done!!! I received a very nice email yesterday from a student. I GOT MY BIKE OUT. I’m going to BBQ steaks tonight. I didn’t mention this on the podcast, but damn am I excited.

Will actual spring come? Did it come while I was in Florida? We lost a friend and colleague. The weather is pretty bad. There’s nothing worse than cold rain. Isabelle is learning more media stuff. The term is over. People don’t understand weighted averages.

Tuesday? Look, what did you pay for this? If we do it on Tuesday we do it on Tuesday. We did because I was away in Florida. I also had my flight diverted from Sault Ste Marie to Sudbury and then back to Toronto so I stayed an extra day. I also stayed up until 3.30 a lot, too much really. The food in Melbourne Florida is not the greatest. Isabelle gave a bunch of presentations to school kids today, and it was a success! See you alll on Saturday.

Well it is Easter weekend, the time when all of Salt Ste Marie goes insane and everyone shops. So we shopped early today. Still, it was not a great deal of fun. I’m off to the US for a conference next week! Isabelle is on a committee for the city and she is getting some art put up. Sometimes people cancel meetings just before meetings. We had another two big snowfalls last week, but we are pretty sure it is all behind us.

This one was recorded at our dining room table because of the GIANT FUCKING SNOWSTORM. It’s probably the most snow we’ve had in a day in about five years. It took 1 hr 40 min to shovel. Yesterday was thesis conference day! My students did well. Isabelle has some cool stuff coming, including an installation, and a show she is working on with two colleagues. She’s also got a bread tie app idea. Jon drops in a few time too, pretty fun.

Not too nice today. Damn the weather has been odd. It’s getting to the end of the term, and it cannot come quickly enough. Isabelle did a thing with the OAC recently. An important thing. The store was pretty busy, even though we went early because tomorrow is Easter. Yesterday was Good Friday, today is fair to middling Saturday.

A bit earlier today, which I’m all for. There’s apparently a snow storm coming! (That’s fake enthusiasm). Isabelle has a thing today where people will paint figures she’s made. It’s sugar bush season. Mooose. I think I was pretty funny in this one, just saying.

Cool one today, -9. Last gasp of winter I imagine. Isabelle spent the week in Toronto. Jon and I had a good week on our own. It’s getting to the end of the term. How about that chicken Big Mac?

Short one today, as Isabelle had to head to the gallery. I went too! I’ve been marking. Nice day today though cold. Wheel sites defeat plagiarism! (Narrator, no they do not). Isabelle is off on a trip soon. She went to the mall while I shopped. I can’t wait to get back on my bike.

Nice day today, right around freezing and very sunny. I’ve had a heck of a week or two. Mike visited! Dave Visited! (Different Dave). Isabelle has another show coming up. I had trouble finding something in the Beer Store. Jon spoiled the quali for me.

Hey, three stops today! Not a bad one at all, weather wise, pretty reasonable, -9. Isabelle is making cutout musicians. We had to buy a new microwave. I’m not a joiner.

Not bad today, -3. Store was ok. Isabelle bought wood. I bought groceries. Isabelle’s whirlwind art career continues, there will be more trips and events soon. It’s the break week for me! Though not really a holiday.
