Sounders Pow Wow

After a solid start to the first month of play in Major League Soccer, the Seattle Sounders face a tough, action-packed week, with two more matches both away and home against formidable Western Conference rivals in both San Jose and LAFC. What are the predictions and concerns of the folks here at Sounders Pow Wow? You still may not know after listening.

Certainly not the end of the 2020 season any of us here Seattle Sounders fans were hoping for, but Jonathon is able to offer up a couple thoughts on what happened. There are questions answered and back by popular demand a new Katy's Time segment.

After what may be considered the heart-attack inducing finish of the Western Conference Final match between the Sounders and the Loons, our boys in Rave green are off to play the final match in Mapfre Stadium. No doubt challenges lie ahead, yet the Pow Wow has endeavored to talk smack ahead of MLS Cup 2020. And answer a few questions. And embarrass themselves.

Ah, the sweet smell of victory on a Tuesday evening. The critics continue to discount the Sounders win against a short-handed LAFC, but at this point, shouldn't that be expected? On today's show, plenty of discussion about the remainder of the 2020 MLS Playoffs, a couple questions from a listener and an impression or two. You've been warned.

The Pow Wow finally got our act together enough to record a show, then Mother Nature came along and kept all three of us apart. Nature be damned, we recorded anyway (sorry, Troy) and here is what resulted. Decision Day is today and playoff positioning is way up in the air and we have things to say about it. The Sounders are undefeated in two (let's look at the positives, shall we). And that's without Nico. Can you imagine what the team will be like with him back in the line-up? We did. And it was marvelous.

The 25th season of Major League Soccer begins with an outstanding performance from Jordan Morris and a glorious three points for the Sounders. The Pow Wow speaks of this at length, predicts our upcoming match against the Crew, discusses other things and answers questions aplenty.

The Pow Wow is back. Major League Soccer is back. And while we talk about them, they never speak of us. Probably for the best.

And then there was one. The Seattle Sounders FC that is. A rocking good time was had at The T way back in November and the Pow Wow has finally gotten over their collective hangover enough to share their thoughts about the 2019 season, the MLS Cup and other things relevant and not. Plus, we reveal if there will be more episodes in 2020.

Playing for the MLS Cup in Seattle is more than a little exciting to the Pow Wow. So much so, we are looking for a hazmat suit. Seriously. The first part of a two part episode, so packed full of thoughts and gunk, it all simply couldn't be contained in an easily consumable morsel.

Eleven seasons in the league and eleven playoff appearances. Say what you will about how we got here, but we got here. Troy and Jonathon have a few things to say on the subject, along with predictions and plenty of questions answered.

It all comes down to the last week in Major League Soccer. Where will the Seattle Sounders FC find themselves at the end of Decision Day? Where will our listeners find themselves at the end of the season and who will be bringing home big prizes from winning the silly contest the Pow Wow started so many months ago? And who will be the newest player in Rave Green?

Not a bad set of results from the past four matches. Still in second place in the Western Conference but still... Looking at the upcoming match in our nation's capitol and seeing what kind of genetic mutants we'd create to raise the Rave Green flag.
