Sounders Pow Wow

With Portland on the near horizon, Eventually tackles the big questions facing the weeks ahead. Could be several uninformed opinions or a practically Nostrodomus-like visions of the future. And just like that the overwhelming cynicism has returned to the Pow Wow. Somewhere between Katy's Time and Jonathon's "Negative Nancy" campaign, exists the rational voice of Troy? Eventually covers where we see the Sounders today, the recent past, the relative future and how things look from our point of view. And then there's the evisceration of Fantasy League.

There's a change to the Pow Wow but you'll need to listen to find out what's going on. What has happened to our beloved Sounders during this tournament, they're good, they're inconsistent, they're scrappy, they're advancing? What about a complete change to League play? We weigh in.

The last time the Sounders were embarassed like that in Sporktown, we lost our coach. The Pow Wow is not taking bets on the final result of this latest humbling by the last place team in the league (for the second time this season). Questions, answers, attitude and vitriol. Welcome to Eventually.

Oh so many questions. Some from the past, some from today and one Jonathon COMPLETELY forgot about (please note the artwork for this episode). Where has the fortress gone? Perhaps it is on a mini-vacation? Perhaps it is something that never was? And what about other stuff? Like pet names.

A win in Portland! A trip to Sandy, Utah coupled with a match featuring a team from there and another squad. Words were said, thoughts entertained and Katy's Time.

Here you have a team which can go on the road, beat Philly and return to home to play one of the most, well, let's say, less than enthusiastic matches of the season. Followed up by a US Open Cup performance which shall become written about in song for future generations. And off to Portland for a battle of mediocrity and a game which may be nothing to write the Times about. Or will it? And questions.

The road trip has started, Nouhou fights with Uber, Stef fights with DC, one Roldan fights with a header, the other loses his fight for another week and there's a game tomorrow. And then another on Sunday. Likely looking 12 matches played and one win to show for them. The Pow Wow has a good time on this episode, no matter what the Sounders do.
