He started fighting at an early age at just 18, turned professional and went on to win the British and European featherweight titles before becoming the WBA World Featherweight Champion in 1985

We speak to the Chairman of the Laureus World Sports Academy, Edwin Moses. Moses will always be remembered for one of the most dominant reigns in world sport. For a remarkable nine years, nine months and nine days, he remained invincible in the 400 metres hurdles, being unbeaten in 122 consecutive races. By the time he retired from the sport in 1989, Moses had won two Olympic gold medals

We speak to Laureus Academy Member Monica Seles who was the dominant player in womens tennis in the early 1990s and at 16 became the youngest ever winner of the French Open. In her career Seles won nine Grand Slam titles â the Australian Open four times, the French Open three times and the US Open twice

We speak to Laureus Academy Member Emerson Fittipaldi became Brazils first Formula One world champion in 1972. The charismatic Brazilian won a second world title in 1974 and he later made a successful switch to the United States, which culminated in two victories in the prestigious Indianapolis 500. Fittipaldi is a very active member of the Laureus World Sports Academy, which supports two projects for underprivileged children in his native Brazil

We speak to Laureus Academy Member Boris Becker who at the age of 17 became the youngest man to win a Wimbledon title in 1985. He went on to win twice more in 1986 and 1989. Becker now plays a significant role in the work of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation and in that role has been asked to put forward a candidate for âAthlete of the Decadeâ in a special presentation to celebrate 10 years of the awards
