Waiting in Suffering | Advent 2024: Waiting with Hope | Pastor Zach Weihrauch
03/12/2024 Duración: 29minIn this sermon, Pastor Zach discusses the biblical perspective on waiting and suffering, contrasting it with the usual human approach. Suffering always involves waiting, and waiting is a form of suffering in itself. This leads to a visceral "groaning" response, often expressed in desperate prayers. However, the christian view is that God is aware of our suffering and waiting, and that it occurs in the space between God's promises and their fulfillment. Just as God was faithful to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and sent a redeemer in Moses, He has also provided a greater Redeemer in Jesus Christ, who will ultimately open the door and lead us out of our waiting rooms. Our suffering and waiting are not permanent, and that nothing can separate us from God's love in Christ.
