After walking methodically through Romans for most of 2016, Pastor Kevin transitions into a brand new teaching series called #RethinkingChurch highlighting disciple-making as our only purpose and goal as we ready for 2017- Acts 2:42-47, Matthew 16:18

As Paul begins to wrap up his letter to the Church at Rome, he highlights a few things toward the end of Ch. 15 as reminders concerning the openness of true Christ-followers to meet needs and share burdens.- Romans 15:24b-33

As the book of Romans begins to wind down, Pastor Kevin disects the latter portion of Chapter 15 where Paul states clearly the message the Christ-follower is to portray in word and deed.- Romans 15

Continuing along the teaching lines he laid out toward the end of Romans 14, Paul continues to impress upon the Romans at the beginning of Ch. 15 the importance of unity and allowing the Spirit to move each man as He seems fit in matters of conscience.- Romans 15:1-13

Living an impactful Christian life in this world means building firm convictions upon those black & white issues to which Scripture speaks, but it also means knowing that God has given a tremendous amount of liberty and choice concerning many non-essential things. In this podcast, Pastor Kevin addresses the balance between living in light of those liberties and flaunting them to the detreminent of your Spiritiual character.- Romans 14:13-23

Moving on through the Apostle Paul's letter to the church at Rome, Pastor Kevin jumps into Chapter 14 where Paul begins to address the things Jesus considered matters of conscience, by which believers had begun to use against one another as a heirarchy of personal holiness, instead of addressing each other by the grace of God.- Romans 14:1-12

Getting back into the #RomansCOC series, Pastor Kevin takes on the latter half of Ch. 13 where Paul describes the attitude of a Christ-follower concerning others, the return of Christ, sin, and spiritual growth.- Romans 13:8-14

Taking a 1-week break from our #RomansCOC while Pastor Kevin is on vacation, Associate Pastor Andrew Barlow leads COC through an examination of Paul's encouraging words to his young pastor friend, Timothy, concerning fear-led vs Spirit-led living.- 2 Timothy 1:3-10

Paul has some pretty clear words to say to the Church at Rome in the book of Romans concerning a correct response to governing authorities. Pastor Kevin takes Paul's words and brings them into a modern context for application by the Church in our time.- Romans 13:1-7

Moving deeper into Ch. 12, Pastor Kevin addresses Paul's teaching concerning those who act hostile toward people of faith, both from within and without.- Romans 12:17-21

As the Apostle Paul continues to shift gears toward the end of Romans, Pastor Kevin leads COC to a place in this book where we must again consider the value and implications of relationships in the Church.- Romans 12:9-16

Continuing on through the #RomansCOC series, Pastor Kevin jumps into the latter half of Chapter 12 where Paul encourages the Roman Church to be resolved & faithful in the giftedness God has poured out to every believer, for His will and glory.- Romans 12:3-8

Moving into Romans 12, Pastor Kevin takes some time in this worship gathering to review where all we have been throughout the book of Romans, and how it has been building to Paul's chief teaching in this chapter.- Romans 12:1-2

Despite Israel's intentional turning away from God over the course of many years throughout the history of the nation, God still showed mercy and grace to them, his beloved, while extending the same mercy and grace to those "outside the family," so to speak. God still redeems and shows mercy, and this is the purpose of the Church.- Romans 11:1-36

Moving further into Chapter 10, Pastor Kevin wades through the rebuttals of the Apostle Paul as he address the seemingly endless stream of excuses given by those who had rejected salvation through faith in Christ.- Romans 10:14-21

Moving into Romans 10, Pastor Kevin draws some possible reasons for Israel's rejection of Jesus as Messiah out of some of the most well-known verses in the entire book.- Romans 10:1-13

As if the evidence wasn't piled high enough, Paul continues through the end of Romans 9 adding proof upon proof that God, in Christ, should not ever be seen as anything other than completely merciful.- Romans 9:25-33

Moving on through Romans 9, Pastor Kevin walks through the latter half of the chapter addressing God's justice, mercy, and sovereignty over all creation.- Romans 9:14-24

Moving into Chapter 9, Pastor Kevin continues in our #RomansCOC series to highlight God's faithfulness to His people, the nation of Israel, even while extending salvation to Gentiles, those wo were outsiders originally.-Romans 9:1-13
