Today on the show we have Nathaniel Cole, co-founder of London based Swim Dem Crew. Swim Dem are an inner-city swim club who believe in the power of community, and who found their roots and mentorship in Charlie Dark’s Run Dem Crew. As with Charlie’s running crew, Nathaniel and his co-founders are providing a no pressure community based space, focused around a movement practice that allows everyone to simply be themselves. What we hear in this podcast is the reoccurring theme of Nathaniel’s long held desire of wanting to help people firstly when he talks to us about all things Swim Dem Crew, and secondly when he tells us about his charity work with youth males exploring their masculinity. It’s easy to see parallel’s between the Swim Dem and Run Dem Crews, and clearly between Nathaniel and Charlie. The world certainly benefits from both of these people and their community creations.

Getting outside and putting your gains to the test. This is where the climbing wall comes in and puts Barbers firmly at the intersection of the training facility for people that are wanting to add dimensions to their practice, be they seasoned athletes or raw beginners from climbing, or another practice. This isn’t the largest wall in the world but biggest isn’t always best.
