  • Why "Eat Less, Move More" Needs More Nuance with Samantha Yardley

    The notion that people who are struggling with weight need to "Eat Less and Move More" simply is not good enough.   Human Behavior has far more nuance and complexity than an over-simplistic quip that makes people feel awful about themselves.  Something that, I think we can all agree on, needs to stop.   This week in the National Media, Samantha Yardley ended up in the middle of a frenzy based on an Article she wrote with the title "Why You Should Never Work With Fat People".  I understand its shocking, and Samantha explains its meant to be a shocking title and would encourage anyone to read the whole article.  After Samantha was on The Daily Mail, ITV's This Morning and has had news articles written about all over the world reaching as far as Australia, I reached out to her on Social Media to see if she would be open to having a discussion about her viewpoint and why it needed more nuance and understanding.  She agreed.  And that is this interview.   The person I found
