In Singapore, it is common that you live with your immediate family until you get married and can buy a house. But not many people can bear or want to do the heavy lifting of living with aging parents when their senses are deteriorating as we speak. It is not easy, trust me. You argue over the slightest things. You barely sleep because you are worried that they might fall or die in their sleep.  But, I also realize it is not the time to pick our wounds over what they did and what they didn't. It is a privilege if we did that.   One advice: They only have so much time and despite the silly times that they might have put us through, look at their great sacrifices as well. Fear of regretting is forever.  Also, parents listening, be easy on your kids. They're still trying to figure it out as much as you are (yes, Mama & Papa). But, I'm sure they love you with all their hearts. 

Sometimes, you just want to look at pretty things just as it is. James Marsden & Monica Bellucci is at the top of my list. Did you get to go to Baybeats 2020 this year? I'm not a Baybeat go-er but, I'd have to say, it looks interesting this year. Still prefer crowded live music festival. And the only reason why I brought up ScottyLum is because, it's just interesting to watch how people actually get heated discussing different faiths. When are people gonna realize that, none is wrong, it is just to learn, right? No validation needed. We should learn from each other. Over Scallops, I caught up with a previous co-worker & we were connecting the dots over what unfolded in our previous employment in 2018 which left us with red flags & a few scabs. Sure, call us weak, call us not cut for it. But, how is it that everybody knows so much on how to perform in interviews but so little about exiting? Countless of us, leave a company or are dismissed, second-guessing ourselves & to begin with, we don't even have low self-esteem.  Especially during Covid, this needs addressing because, you should know, if you get dismissed or retrenched(for reasons that are unknown), there are other means to earn a sincere salary. This is just a bump. You are no lesser a person. You are worth it! One of the reasons why, sometimes I get exhausted of taking care and understanding people. Hence, now, just at the smell of suspicion, I walk away.  It took me 3 years to get back up on my feet, to be mentally healthy again, after this incident, after the first breakup and after a second different toxic breakup.   I hope to share this hardship of mine of becoming a 3rd owner of my house, partially reluctant because it is someone's else baggage, might be of takeaway for you. You can try to hate a person for their mistakes, but you can't, so the pain stays.  This was also the cause of my first panic attack. Really thought I was going to die.

Even as adults, how is it possible that our emotional baggage are derived from things our parents has said to us, from years ago? Does that justify that forgiveness is easier said than done? That we're all actually kids just achieving because all we ever wanted was our parents validation? For the young ones listening, if you have a dream and you have your own means, go for your dreams.
