Overtime With Joe Parker

With all spring sports currently in the playoffs, this special edition of Overtime keeps you up to date on the soccer, lacrosse and baseball playoffs as well as a preview of the tennis, track and field and golf state championships. 

On the latest edition of Overtime, members of Chattahoochee boys basketball, including head coach Chris Short, junior center Grant VanBevren, sophomore guard Cameron Sheffield and freshman point guard AJ White join the show to discuss the 2017-18 season, the first under Short's leadership, and set out their goals for next year.  Parker also updates the soccer, baseball and tennis state playoffs and gives a preview of the first round of the lacrosse state tournament. 

Alpharetta girls basketball head coach David Walden joins Overtime this week to discuss the Raiders' 2017-18 season in which they went 22-6 and secured a trip to the state tournament.  With baseball and soccer playoffs looming, Parker also gives you a recap of the region races in the final week of the regular season and who each team will compete against this week as they begin their quest for a state championship. 

On this edition of Overtime with Joe Parker, Milton head football coach Adam Clack discusses his first season with the Eagles in 2017 in which the Eagles went 9-3, just the fourth Milton team to win nine games in a season in the program's nearly 70-year history. Clack also looks ahead to 2018, playing in the Corky Kell Classic and Milton hosting the Freedom Bowl, which will bring together 12 teams for six games over Labor Day weekend.

Cambridge basketball's senior center Kyler Ingram joins Overtime to discuss the Bears' 2017-18 season that included a 24-3 record and berth in the state tournament. Ingram also delves into his recruiting process and his decision to commit to Emmanuel College this week.  Parker also gives updates on local soccer, baseball and lacrosse scores and region standings ahead of spring break. 

Professional racing driver and Cumming resident Dylan Murry joins Joe Parker on this edition of Overtime to discuss his budding racing career that has spanned karts, Legends, NASCAR's K&N series and sports cars. Murry, 17, has already won over 60 races and multliple championships.  Parker also gives updates on the headlines and scores of March 12-17, including battles between local teams ranked in the top-10 in lacrosse and soccer.

On the inaugural episode of Overtime with Joe Parker, Northview girls basketball head coach Chris Yarbrough discusses the Titans’ second straight Region 7-6A championship and berth in the state tournament semifinals. Parker also gives updates on the headlines and scores of March 5-10, including St. Francis boys basketball’s fortunes in the state championship and updates in local baseball, lacrosse and soccer region standings.
