Are you EXCITED? I have two very special people to interview tonight about caring for a child with a rare brain challenge that requires a lot of traveling and a stimulator. Another will tell of how she has helped care for her parents by moving them close to her and her family has been overseeing their care for years. As the father is in a wheelchair, it is requiring lots of help from the family to be close.

Let's talk about caring for parents and some issues they have that are very distressing. Alzhiemers and dementia are very exhausting and concerning to everyone. Join us as we interview some experts and even spouses of those who have had some experience with this.

This show will be addressing one of the most common issues we have today and will face in the future! How do we care for our parents, especially, the sandwich generation. While we are aging, the need to care for parents with dementia and alzheimers is increasing. The wear and tear is great on families who often must give up needed income to care for parents in their homes. Some are caring for children and grandchildren, so how can we help?

tonight we will begin looking at the problem of autism. Dr. Eric Schmidt is a neuropharmacologist and he will answer some questions and then his wife will be talking about having a son with autism and teaching children. She is also a scientist, so it should be interesting.

Since programs are being cut from the budgets all over the country, whyshould we reconsider this very important need to help children with special needs or concerns have therapy continue above other programs. Do legislators or educators even realize the importance of these programs to a child's development for full potential, or do they consider them "fluff" programs that are not necessary?
