Just as God commissioned John the Baptist to prepare Israel for the coming Messiah, He has commissioned all believers to prepare others to receive Jesus today.

Adam, the first man, was given "lordship", or stewardship, over God's creation. But when he sinned, he introduced death to all humanity. Jesus, the last "Adam" came to bring life. Eternal life.

God's rules are His wisdom intended to set us apart -- to make us holy. They make life good for us.We can't work hard enough to earn God's love. He freely gives it. We don't have to be  fixed to be found.

The Holy Spirit empowers us to be bold witnesses.The Holy Spirit empowers us to love God.The Holy Spirit empowers us to do the work He has given us to do.The Holy Spirit empowers us to experience God's freedom.We must have the Holy Spirit within us. If we do not have the Spirit, we are not saved.We must set our minds on the things of the Spirit.We must walk in the Spirit, keeping in step with Him.

We must develop a passionate desire to pray in order to connect with God as Jesus taught us:Jesus made time for prayer (Mark 1:35; Luke 5:16). We make time for those things that are important to us.Jesus devoted Himself to prayer, and so should we (Colossians 4:2; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; John 17). How much time do you spend in prayer?
