    In the beginning of 2020, the British High Commission in Wellington began a scholarship programme called He Whai Mātauranga (In Pursuit of Knowledge), which sent three Māori postgraduate students to study taonga (treasures) being housed in UK cultural institutions.  The scholarships took the scholars all over the UK, from the South of England to Scotland and Ireland.
