Weekly Update --- McConnell Cannot Stop The Non-Interventionist Tide by Ron Paul Liberty Report

After last week's Israel attack on western aid workers, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has signed a Democrat Party letter to President Biden demanding a pause in arms shipments to Israel until an investigation can be completed on the attack. Democrats are increasingly feeling the pressure of their party's overwhelming opposition to Biden's Israel policy. Also today: more cracks in NATO's rotten core. Finally: Trump does the right thing on abortion.

The minimum wage outlaws jobs. The only question is which jobs are outlawed. In California, any job that can be done for less than $20 are illegal in fast food chains. Naturally, prices for consumers will go up, workers are laid off (thanks to a law!) while automation, kiosks and robotics replace them. Smaller businesses go out of business, or are never started; while big businesses adapt with much greater ease. Sounds a lot like the policies that were imposed under covid, doesn’t it? But this time, the tool of choice is the minimum wage law.

A last minute "stay" of ten days was granted to former President Donald Trump in his half-billion dollar "fraud" case, meaning he must come up with $175 million within ten days or the state would begin seizing his assets. What kind of country allows itself to be invaded? A vast majority of what the federal government does, it should not be doing. It’s almost all unconstitutional. But they ignore the constitution and do it anyway. The federal government does have a job that it actually does have to do - protect the border - and it fails miserably at it. Our entire nation suffers as a result. Invaders are now squatters in our houses? That’s the severity of the failure that we’re now experiencing.

The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday that a deal was being discussed between Wikileaks founder Julian Assange's legal team and the US Department of Justice that might result in a plea to lesser charges. The Republican-led House Foreign Affairs Committee yesterday held another hearing yesterday on the disastrous US withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021. Of all the finger-pointing and blame-sharing, one thing is never asked: why was the US in Afghanistan in the first place? Why is it so easy to get into wars but nearly impossible to get out?
