Two guests! One host! Oh, what a night! On this LIVE episode, Pat talks with Kiri Oliver and Heidi Vanderlee of the band Early Riser about a song they both love! With Evan out of town, Pat interviews Kiri and Heidi about "You Can Make Him Like You" by  The Hold Steady.

Pat May joins us to talk about "Bramble Blast / Stickerbrush Symphony" from the video game Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. That's right, another Pat! Two Pats! Innovation! Pat May loves video games more than anything and truly loves the music of video games more than most things.

Todays episode features Jamie Coletta, the director of marketing at Side One Dummy Records. This is our first episode recorded out of New York, our first without Evan, and our first with a label we absolutely adore. Jamie was excited to discuss the new Paramore album which Pat enjoyed as a soundtrack to drive around California. We covered a lot of ground in this one! The Paramore song had us discussing identity, expectations, and the seemingly dramatic shift in genre they took. Then we talked about how Jamie got into the industry, doing what you love, what it's like to hunt for new bands, and how the labels community naturally formed. Nikita Burdein joins us for our first-ever studio episode to talk about "Let the Sunshine In" from Hair! Nikita is an all-star musical improviser here in New York and was very patient while Evan & Pat showed how naive they were regarding musical theatre. In this episode, we talk about crate digging for cast recordings and what makes for a good musical! Pat had just discovered how great Hamilton is, so we go pretty in depth with that, and Evan admits that he still hasn't listened to the soundtrack.

The wonderful Geri Cole (writer, Sesame Street) stops by to talk about Arcade Fire's immense song, "My Body Is A Cage." We talk about album closers, living abroad, growing up, life changes, friendship, and love. It gets deep! Mikki Hommel returns to the show and plays a killer cover of "My Body Is a Cage." She also plays an incredible improvised song and one of her original tunes!

A "blizzard" prevents our original lineup from getting to the venue so we instead play host to the incredible trio of Christina Cola, Chrissie Gruebel, and Cory P Willis who all join us for this spontaneous multi-guest episode. We discuss "Hazard" by Richard Marx, "They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.) by Pete Rock & CL Smooth, "Today" by Tom Scott & The Honeysuckle Breeze, and finally, "The Shakes" by The Menzingers. All three guests are hilarious and we of course end up talking about Dave Matthews Band along with such topics as close friendships, hip-hop sample culture, and horrible hangovers. This episode rules.

We host a Valentine's Day soirée with beautiful guests Caitlin Brodnick, Trumane Alston, Branson Reese, Christina Cola, and Juan Nicolón! That's right, it's our first-ever multi-guest episode and we ask each of them to talk about a love song *or* a song that relates to their love lives. We discuss such wonderful tracks as Joanna Newsome's "Good Intentions Paving Company," Ben E King's "Stand By Me," Macy Gray's "I Try," No Doubt's "Ex-Girlfriend," and The Punch Brother's "Another New World." We basically speed date our way through this lovely bunch of comedians and end up quite smitten by the end of it. PLUS! The sickest pop-punk and emo band in the tri-state area, MY DARK LITTLE CORNER, plays a set of their hilarious songs for everyone to enjoy.

Comedian, podcast host, and radio personality, CHRIS DUFFY, joins us to talk about Celine Dion's masterpiece "My Heart Will Go On." We chat with Chris about out teen years, VH1 Divas Live!, and the incredible competition known as Eurovision. Somehow, Chris makes it through this entire episode without us making fun of his love the (quite possibly) the most overplayed love ballad of our adolescence. The incredible Dear Georgiana stops by to cover "My Heart Will Go On" and plays a fabulous original of her own.

Comedian Courtney MaGinnis (Caroline's, College Humor, NPR) joins us on the show to talk about drunken family vacations, designing underwear for teens, and the Otis Redding song "(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay." Hilarity ensues as we get to know our wonderful guest and, wouldn't you know it, there's even some arm wrestling. Plus! Singer, songwriter, banjo player, and excellent human, Anielle Reid, takes the stage to cover Redding's "Try A Little Tenderness" and to play a couple of her own wonderful songs. Writer and comedian Nicole Silverberg (Reductress, GQ, UCBT) and singer-songwriter Kaylyn Marie join us on this episode to celebrate the one-year anniversary of our live show. Nicole brings with her the somber tune "Shadow Song" by The Mountain Goats and we talk to her about the place music has occupied in her life. To close the show, Kaylyn Marie covers the song and plays an original of her own.
