Edward Altman on Corporate Bankruptcies, Fintech, and a Shifting Financial Landscape
02/02/2022 Duración: 43minA crucial component of business leadership is understanding the potential for things to go wrong – and knowing how to adapt to situations in which they do. This week, we’re looking at that skill set in the context of corporate bankruptcies. Hosts Bar Tenenbaum and Ashley Jefferson are joined by Edward Altman, a Professor Emeritus of Finance at Stern, who invented the Altman-Z-Score model for bankruptcy prediction in the 1960s. A key component of both the model’s success and Altman’s career is the ability to pivot – whether it comes in the form of adjustments to his financial model, building expertise around fintech, or supporting Stern students as their interests and career paths shift, Altman has a lot to teach us about resilience and adaptability in an ever-changing financial world. - Hosts: Bar Tenenbaum, Ashley Jefferson Guest: Professor Edward Altman Produced by: Bar Tenenbaum Edited by: Bar Tenenbaum Music by: Jesse Han - Connect with us on Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn! @SternChats
