Established in August 2020, KRUNK KULTURE is a record label from the future by KRUNK. "Cool Cat, Jazz Cat" by Farhan Rehman is our next EP on Krunk Kulture. The first single of the EP, "Cool Cat, Jazz Cat," combines Farhan's shared passion of House and Jazz, and also a dedication to his pet cat is sure to captivate music lovers worldwide. Wind Horse Record boss and Ngoma Collectiv co-founder Hamza Rahimtula lands his first release on ‘Krunk Kulture’. The EP titled “Nuevo Groove”, includes two tracks and is a fantastic blend of house and disco. The title track, “Nuevo Groove” is an elegant representation of funky house with a touch of Latin inspiration. The main features of the track include jazzy chords, vocal samples, and percussion elements that keep things classic, taking inspiration from America’s house music hub of New York. ‘One Take Funk’ the second track on the EP focuses on Hamza’s Nu-Disco sound, a graceful blend of percussive grooves, chunky bass line, and a well-laid vocal sample. Baalti is a San Francisco based Indian duo who have a knack for finessing retro South Asian samples to create dancefloor vibers. Their sample-heavy and groove-driven house style joins the dots between various South Asian musical forms and contemporary dance music. While describing Nans / Marigold, the duo says "This is our love letter to 80s Bolly Disco. We were really just trying to capture the excitement and playfulness of that era, but through the lens of modern club culture. Zoning in on groove, staying in the pocket, rhythm and movement before everything else. Keeping it crunchy and locked in."
