2 Samuel 6:1-23 Through David’s worship, we see that our worship needs to be full of passion and truth.

1 Samuel 18:1-5 + 1 Samuel 20 Through the friendship of David and Jonathan, we see a model and value for our own godly friendships.

1 Samuel 17:26-47 Just like David, we must fight our own giants while remembering what God has already done on our behalf.

1 Samuel 16:1-13 Through David's anointing as the future King, we see that God uses people that no one would expect to move His mission forward.

James 5:13-20 In James 5, we are reminded that we have a supernatural, experiential, and communal faith. Whether suffering, sick, or in need of forgiveness, our first response should be to pray with each other and for one another.

James 5:1-12 We need an eternal perspective in our pleasure and our pain.

James 4:14-17 In James 4, we see that for our faith to be real, we need humility before the God and obedience to the will of God.

James 4:1-12 Life is war... so you better start fighting. There is an internal and spiritual war in the heart of every Christian that must be fought by turning toward God and away from sin.

James 3:13-18 In James 3, we see a call to stop settling for a subhuman life and a call to live the good life - a life modeled after the way of Christ.

James 3:1-12 Our words are powerful because they reveal something deeper about us. We need to tame more than just our tongues, we need the Lord to help us tame and change our hearts.

In James, we see that Christians are called to have a "faith that works". Our faith should produce good works that benefit others. God doesn't need our good works, but others do.

James 2:8-13 ln James 2, we look at our sin, God's law, and His judgment, and ultimately we are reminded of the mercy of Christ.

John 18:28-40 We all have to answer the question: who is Jesus?

James 2:1-7 How do you act toward people who aren't like you? In James, we see that partiality leads to sin. But there's good news, viewing Jesus as Lord leads us to view others rightly.

James 1:26-27 In James, we see that we can't just pay lip service to our faith... we have to live it out by having compassion for those around us and taking action.

James 1:19-25 Where are you lying to yourself about yourself? In James, we’re called to be hearers and doers of the Word. The Bible was not written to increase our knowledge but to transform our lives.

James 1:12-18 The better we can understand temptation, the better God can help us experience victory over temptation.

James 1:5-11 In James, we see that wisdom come seeing life from God's perspective - it's asking God, what am I avoiding or need to change?

James 1:1-4 If God is good... if God is loving... why is this happening? Often when we face trials or suffering, we question the goodness of God, but in the book of James we see that God works in our trials to develop, discipline, direct, and deliver us.

Song of Solomon 8:8-11 The goal of parenting isn't to make kids safe; it's to make them strong. As we close our series in the Song of Solomon we see how parenting is an immersive and intense version of discipleship.
