I Tunes Stitcher Dr. James Fadiman is considered America's wisest and most respected authority on psychedelics and their use. In 1974 he co-founded the Institute for Transpersonal Pyschology, and has since continued to explore potential medical and creative uses of psychedelic drugs. In his most recent book, The Psychedelic Explorer's Guide: Safe, Therapeutic and Sacred Journeys (2011), he provides insight into safe and correct uses of psychedelic drugs. The book was inspired by his unique knowledge of psychedelic experiences and his desire to explain beneficial uses of those substances. He received his B.A. from Harvard University in Social Relations in 1960, and his M.A. and Ph.D from Stanford University in Psychology in 1962 and 1965, respectively. I Tunes Stitcher Cory Jones (@who_coryjones) is a 24 year old Environmental activist, a soon to be graduate of Cal Poly SLO, a lifelong skateboarder, and the Co-Founder of One With Nature. OWN works as an environmental marketing group that focuses on education, outreach, and reform. Cory serves as their lead for business development and as their primary spokesperson for environmental legislation.  In the past year OWN has been a player in the banning of Styrofoam in two Central Coast communities. He is also the leader of efforts to have SLO County food vendors only serve straws upon request which will set a national precedent and has already received an endorsement from his County’s Integrated Waste Management Authority. ITunes Stitcher In 2011, Dollar paddled into the biggest wave ever at Mavericks. At 55-feet, it earned him the XXL “Biggest Paddle” wave. In 2012, he trumped his own record by paddling into a 62-foot wave at the Cortes Bank, earning him the XXL award for not only “Biggest Paddle” wave, but simply “Biggest Wave,” the first time a paddle in surfer had bested the world’s best tow-in crews. He finished the Mavericks Invitational that year in sixth place, a huge honor.  And all that time, he was never a professional surfer. Dollar has worked in the surf industry for ten years, and also as a broker for Dollar Brokerage, handling 160 accounts. ITunes Stitcher Dr. Susy Honig (@saltywind) is an aquatic ecosystem ecologist and postdoctoral science education fellow at UC Santa Cruz. Her research focuses on the natural and non-natural links between land and sea, and she has researched the effect of nutrient inputs in local Santa Cruz streams, local rocky intertidal communities, and coral reefs in the remote Pacific. She is an Aptos native and first developed a love for ocean science as a child playing in the waves as a junior lifeguard. She then pursued marine science at the University of California Santa Barbara, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Aquatic Biology and helped monitor the health of kelp forests in the Santa Barbara Channel as a research scuba diver.
