Gahagan was a member of the 2018 Diamond Heel squad that plowed through North Carolina A&T and Houston to win the Chapel Hill regional and swept Stetson in the super regional. Carolina defeated eventual national champion Oregon State to open the CWS but fell to Mississippi State and those Beavers ending the 44-20 season.
