Prayer promises us superior peace in the face of all our anxieties.

Christmas tells us that King Jesus is worthy of worship from all the nations, but there are many who are unwilling to bow the knee.

God breaks into nature and is born as a human in order to save humans from itself.

Jesus is born into a broken humanity so that He can keep God's promises and rescue us out of our brokenness.

In this last episode from John's Gospel, we see what happens when a person meets Jesus. Jesus takes sin-sick sinners, restores them and gives them a new start.

Jesus goes into the grave and takes on death so that all who trust in Him will be free from death and take on life.

When Jesus prays, He seeks the glory of God and He seeks it in the cross of suffering. Through the glory of the Son, sinners come to know God and have eternal life.

Sorrow will give way to joy because Jesus has overcome the world.

The Holy Spirit comes to bear witness to the truth of Jesus to the world and for the Church.

To be accepted by Jesus means to be rejected by the world

The only hope we have for living a fruitful, God-honoring life is to abide in Jesus. He is the True Vine that replaces the broken, dead vines of old.

The only way to live like Jesus is to be connected to Jesus' life. Bearing fruit for Jesus is the inevitable result of abiding in Jesus.

Jesus comforts His disciples by sending another Helper to walk with them as they follow Jesus.
