Who am I and what is the Aussie Firebug podcast all about?
16/02/2021 Duración: 01minHey guys, welcome to the Aussie Firebug podcast, My names Matt, I’m a country boy for regional Victoria. I barrack for the Magpies, I love to snowboard and I play way too much Call of Duty. I’m a pretty normal bloke, but the one area where I’ve always been a bit different is when it comes to money and investing. In fact, I’m on track to reach financial independence by my mid-thirties and plan to retire early. That’s what the FIRE acronym stands for, financial independence, retire early. You might be thinking “There’s just no way someone could retire in their 30’s without a big inheritance, high paying job or winning the lotto”! But that’s just not true! FIRE was a movement that started in the US around 2011 and has since spread all over the world.I stumbled across it in 2013 and when I read the formula for reaching early retirement, it blew my mind. It was one of those lightbulb moments that changed my life forever. There were heaps of great content creat

Episode 22. Matched Betting - Bonus Bank
02/05/2019 Duración: 47minhttp://www.aussiefirebug.com/matched-betting-bonus-bank/My guest today is Nico who managed to create an online income stream through a technique called matched betting. But don't let the name fool you! Matched betting is not gambling but it takes advantage of the big signup bonuses amongst other things that the betting agencies used to lure people in. The closest thing I can compare it to is signing up for credit card point to use on flights but matched betting is a lot more lucrative and easier IMO.Nico runs Bonus Bank which is a website that helps Aussies with matched betting by finding the best opportunities out there. Make sure you stick around for the second half of the pod as Nico’s story about what life matched betting has enabled him to live is pretty cool and well worth a listen. So let’s jump into the world of matched betting.
