Sinopsis
Munger Place Church is the East Dallas campus of Highland Park United Methodist Church. Worship services include both the best of the old and the best of the new. The music is rock and roll-based, sermons are both live and on video, and dress is casual. But at the same time, the services draw from 2,000 years of Christianity by incorporating some of the beautiful old hymns, prayers, and responses.

Self-Indulgent Reflections on Recent Personal Difficulties
20/03/2017 Duración: 28minSuffering is part of life. It can’t be predicted, avoided, or short-cutted: it can only be endured. I’ve had a fair amount of time recently (after the birth of my daughter and the hospitalization of my wife) to think about suffering and difficulty. Here are some reflections. Leviticus: The Shellfish Argument
27/02/2017 Duración: 29min“Unless you follow every Old Testament law, you're a HYPOCRITE!” Chances are you’ve heard someone online say that unless you plan to follow all of the crazy Old Testament laws, you had better shut up before talking about what the Bible says on this or that issue. Personally, I don’t know any Christians who refrain from eating shellfish or wearing clothes made of mixed fabrics, but both of those behaviors are proscribed by Levitical law. Are we hypocrites for following some parts of the Old Testament law, and ignoring other parts? Which parts of Leviticus are we supposed to follow, and which no longer apply? Scripture: Leviticus 19 Hebrews 9:24-26 Matthew 5:21-22, 27-30 Preacher: Andrew Forrest

Leviticus: Where Bible Reading Plans Go To Die
13/02/2017 Duración: 33minFebruary is where Bible reading plans go to die. You start the year strong, and then you come to the 2nd half of Exodus and as if those boring blueprints aren't bad enough, next comes LEVITICUS. Leviticus is the book you hope your unbelieving friend never reads. Leviticus is the book you don't understand. Leviticus is the book you don't like, if you're honest. (Are you allowed not to like a book of the Bible?) Let’s change all of the above…. Preacher: Andrew Forrest Scripture: Leviticus 1:1; Exodus 32:1-10; Exodus 40:34-35; Numbers 1:1; John 1:29b; Hebrews 10:1-7, 10-18
