Faithfulness Doesn't Drive Away Opposition - Audio
09/04/2025 Duración: 52minWe begin a new Wednesday Night Series. Building Our Foundations, a verse by verse study through the Book of Ezra Chapter 4 verses 6-24 Faithfulness Doesn't Drive Away Opposition The Book of Ezra is a book in the Old Testament of the Bible, traditionally attributed to the prophet Ezra. It chronicles the return of the Jewish people from Babylonian exile and the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Temple, focusing on the religious and political restoration of the Jewish community. The Book of Ezra provides a powerful metaphor for building foundations—both literally and spiritually. The rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem serves as a symbol of the restoration of the people's relationship with God, as well as the re-establishment of their faith and community after the Babylonian exile. When considering how this pertains to building our own foundations, there are several lessons and parallels that can be drawn. If you are interested in attending our LIVE teachings (Wednesdays @ 7:00 pm & Sundays @ 10:00 am), you

Are you a Disciple or Part of the Crowd? - Audio
23/02/2025 Duración: 01h04minContinuing with our series called "The Servant King," (A Study of the Gospel of Mark).... CH 10 verses 45-52 we see a stark contrast between the disciples and the crowd, particularly in how they relate to Jesus and his mission. The passage includes two significant parts: Jesus’ explanation of his purpose and the healing of Bartimaeus. Mark 10:45-52 contrasts a disciple's genuine faith with the crowd's superficial interest. The disciples, despite their misunderstandings, are called to embrace the radical way of serving and following Jesus. In contrast, the crowd is more interested in Jesus as a means to an end, without understanding the deeper, sacrificial nature of his mission. The healing of Bartimaeus becomes a symbol of the spiritual blindness of the crowd and the sight that comes with faith and discipleship.
