(at PFC)” Last week we explored where the universal Church is headed in all of redemptive history.  The culmination of the Church’s story is the feast between the bride of Christ and Jesus Himself.  As a local church we take part in this journey.  On Sunday morning we will take time to look at the trajectory and direction we are sensing from the Lord for PFC.

Pastor DJay Martin continues our current sermon series “The Church” with the message entitled “Where are We Headed? (In History)” from Revelation 19:6-10. Synopsis: In the Christian faith we believe that all of history is building towards a specific redemptive destination.  The story of history will culminate in the recreation of the new heavens and the new earth.  The picture of this for the Church is the wedding feast between Christ and His bride.  On Sunday, we will take time to reflect on this imagery and explore what it means to participate in this story.

Pastor DJay Martin continues our current sermon series “The Church” with the message entitled “Both In and Beyond Culture.”An incredible design element of the Church is its God-given ability to be simultaneously universal and contextualized.  There are foundational truths about the Church that are true of her in any time, place, culture, and context.  And yet, at the same time, the Lord does not design every local church in the exact same way.  Just as individuals within the same family share a common name, similar features, and even DNA, they are also individually and uniquely their own persons.  This week’s sermon will explore some of the universal and uniquely individual aspects of the Church and local churches.

THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES - What can insects teach us?  In Job we read, "But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you," (Job 12:7-8).  God can be found in the marvelous handiwork of his creation.  The imprint of his creativity is evident everywhere...but we have to look.  This Sunday, in a service geared to all ages, beekeeper Dave Willauer, (PFC's Minister of Care Giving), will share lessons he has learned from honey bees that have the potential to inform our living a godly life.  Join us to be awestruck by these amazing creatures created by our amazing God.
