Similar to a certain someone in the sport of golf. our expectations are crazy for him despite remembering MJ in the best possible light that Nike might have helped create. Anyway, the boys debate that, recap the pointless Derby, talk horse semen, comment on LaVarr Ball's insane shoe deal and lastly, give you NFL LOCKS for O/U season win total. The NFL draft was quite the spectacle in Philly. You're welcome America. Because the draft itself was not the best and proved Cody's point...or at least he's going to try and prove it. The boys talk NFL draft winners, losers, value of a 1st round pick, some surprising QB moves and PSU players not getting any love. Philly and Steelers pick discussed as well as Saban's new money. Round it out with MLB update, including the Adam Jones/Boston incident. Oh Boy. What happened to sports? Check it ooooooout. 

In one of the ONLY episodes that Steve hosts/leads the show, there's a lot to talk about between the upcoming NFL draft, the next round of NHL playoffs, the NBA off-season moves since the championship is pre-destined and the weekly MLB segment, you won't want to miss this one. Give Steve his props for holding down the intro, transitions and everything. No seriously, he needs the props...

Cody and Steve discuss all things NBA playoffs from the limited amount of teams who can win, why that isn't a problem and the over-rated MVP race. They compare Westbrook to Iverson and talk about Paul George's leadership tactics or lack-there-of. They debate the One and Done topic thanks to the recent 30 for 30 and why it's a great rule for America, but not so much for the average basketball fan. They read random tweets of twitter in a new segment as well as add a segment called Box Score to hit you up with weekly baseball facts. This episode is worth the longer listen, so drive around the block a few times after work. or before...

Cody quizzes Steve on every team in the MLB on this special prediction episode. Steve picks the winners and losers of each division. They both pick the final four teams, World Series Match-ups and overall champions. Cody also discusses the wonderful joy of watching Sergio win and how quickly that feeling will subside when he plays again...thus, pointing out that winning the first time is great and the second time is blah. 

Cody moved to Durham. Steve is holding down Philly, but with a new child. Circumstances have changed, but Talking About Sports remains the same. We talk about the sports rivalries in NC versus PA, discuss the recent Championship game, as well as the Roy Williams: Idiot or Great debate. Shout out to UConn women going down and the great basketball school in the land this year, the Gamecocks. So much good basketball debate, including why Coach K gets 0/100's of the crap that Coach Cal gets for doing the same thing. It's on...

Well that wasn't exactly the upsets we were looking for...A chalk-y weekend with a few big ones and a lot of great basketball demands discussing. Cody and Steve record in Philly together for the last time before Cody moves to Durham. A new segment, "Defend This" pits each of them against each other in a variety of NCAA tournament topics to debate and defend. Good times had by all. Except Nova. Ouch. Too soon? Enjoy this one! Cody is back from New Zealand. Steve is still here waiting for a child. All while they were supposed to go to vegas...ah well. Let's get into the brackets, the biases, the mistakes, the expectations, and then cover NFL Free Agency news and reactions. Good stuff for a long episode after a lengthy time apart. 

You might have thought "Are the guys EVER going to put out their last Greatest Hits?" Well, if it weren't for Cody badgering Steve from halfway across the globe, maybe not. However, like a fine wine or a fancy cheese, the Volume III shows how the guys have simple gotten better with age. Reviewing the last year of hilarity, absurd references to lord knows what, some bracket talk, and oh yeah, sports makes its way in there too. Hope you enjoy. 

You didn't really appreciate it 'til the second one came out, so we stretched the game out...well, it isn't exactly Hard Knock Life on Jay Z Vol. 2, but it IS the next best thing that sports fans could imagine...the Talking About Sports, Greatest Hits, Volume II. Cody and Steve are, as always, hysterically debating, ridiculing each other, making outrageous claims, and when you give this one a listen...well it all being out of context will make you laugh even harder.

With Cody out of the country and galavanting around the Southern half of the world, the boys figured, why not give our listeners a treat: a greatest hits track. Cody went back through and pulled some of the BEST of the first two years. Turns out there were a LOT of great times and ridiculousness. So, here is Volume 1...stay tuned for Volume 2 and 3.
