Budding young 400m hurdler Hayley McLean says this summer's London 2012 Olympic Games has inspired her to achieve the utmost in her career. Kevin #Pietersen has profusely apologised again after news broke that he and the #ECB have agreed a reintegration process for the batsman to make his return to the England set up. #KP was originally exiled from the national team after being found to have sent text messages deriding then-skipper Andrew Strauss to their South African opposition during the three-match Test series between the two earlier this summer. Speaking to the assembled media today, Pietersen reiterated his apology and said he looked forward to playing for England again.

One of the sorriest sagas in modern sport seems to be coming to an end as the #ECB & Kevin #Pietersen appear to have put all their problems behind them. The ECB's Chairman Giles Clarke, speaking to the media today, says both sides have agreed to a process whereby the controversial batsman will be reintegrated in to the set up ahead of the tour to India this summer. Pietersen was originally thrown out of the squad following a number of controversies in the summer. Firstly, he retired from ODI's & T20's before being found to have sent text messages to the visiting South African team for the Test series, criticising then-England skipper Andrew Strauss.

Europe's winning #RyderCup captain Jose Maria #Olazabal has reiterated his joy after seeing his side come back from a near-impossible deficit to retain the trophy. Speaking at Heathrow after returning from their triumph in Chicago, the 46-year old once again thanked all those involved as Europe overturned a 6-10 deficit in to a 14½-13½ victory.

Young sprinter Yasmin Miller says she felt inspired by Team GB's performance at the London 2012 Olympic Games. The 17-year old is part of the #SPAR Sprint Stars programme, enabling young British athletes to achieve future world class performance, and says the success of the senior athletes is driving her on to wanting to represent GB in is many competitions as possible.

In arguably the most sensational comeback in Ryder Cup history, Martin Kaymer holed the putt which guaranteed Europe capped off an incredible recovery to beat the US in Medinah. Trailing 10-6 before Sunday's matches, Europe astonishingly rallied by winning 8½ of the 12 points available to stun the home crowd 14½-13½. Kaymer's putt meant he won his match against Steve Stricker, and moved Europe on to the 14 point marks. Speaking to Rupert Bell, Kaymer says it's been an unbelievable event.
