93.7 The Fan Sports Director Jeff Hathhorn joined the show. We recapped what has been regarded as an A+ Steelers draft. Jeff said he expects a WR to be added, but he isn’t sure when. Will the option be picked up for Najee Harris with the deadline looming tomorrow? Jeff said a decision on Cam Sutton will be made by Art Rooney and nobody else.

Aditi Kinkhabwala from the NFL on CBS joined the show. Aditi reacted to the report put out by Bryant McFadden the other day regarding the Steelers being in pursuit of a “significant playmaker.” Aditi reacted to the Steelers working in a new offense with Arthur Smith and how they have to look at things before fully diving in. Aditi thinks there are some really hard conversations going on in the facility when it comes down to the Najee Harris 5th year option, which is a decision due tomorrow at 4 pm. With everything on the table surrounding Cam Sutton, should the Steelers entertain the idea of bringing him back? 

Hour 3: Poni sent a text to Bryant McFadden during the show, then receives a call from him live on-air. Could Odell Beckham Jr. become a Steeler? Aditi Kinkhabwala joins the show to talk all things Steelers. Has Poni upset Matt Koll? And Poni wants to do a show home-run derby.

Hour 2: The guys wonder who is at fault for the Pirates' recent struggles. Poni thinks he knows when Paul Skenes will get called up to Pittsburgh. Does Chris have a secret inside source with the Pirates? And Mike Florio joins the guys to go around the NFL.

Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk joined the show. Mike had his latest thoughts on who the “significant playmaker” could be the Steelers are in pursuit of. Mike jumped into the 49ers receivers and which one is more likely to be an actual trade target. The guys asked Mike if Cam Sutton will ever suit up in the NFL again and if it could be for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He thinks Sutton could be suspended for up to 6 games. When will the NFL extend its schedule to 18 regular season games and 2 preseason games? And if so, what would the NFL calendar look like? The guys asked Mike if the Steelers will exercise the 5th year option for Najee Harris, which he described as a tougher call than most. Does Mike have any insight on Zach Frazier, one of the newest Steelers? 

The Pirates are sliding into last place as we enter May. Who is the most at fault? Is it Andy Haines? Is there anything about the team right now that is encouraging? Poni said Oneil Cruz is still very solid against right handed pitchers, but what else? Chris thinks there is still a blatant lack of talent.

Former Penguin Tyler Kennedy joined the show. The guys started with a Gatorade discussion with Mullsy training for the half marathon this weekend. The guys joked about Phil Kessel drinking Coca Cola like a fiend. What is the latest with Mike Sullivan and the rumors surrounding the Devils? Tyler talked about some old playoff memories and the classic Max Talbot fight in 2009 that was a turning point in the Stanley Cup run. 

The Steelers have yet to exercise the option on Najee Harris. With the deadline looming tomorrow at 4 pm, is it becoming a tough decision for Steelers brass to make the call? The guys pointed out he has 1,000-yard seasons every year since his career began, but looking further at the numbers shows that he is hardly a difference maker. If the decision is taking this long, it doesn’t seem like Mike Tomlin is truly pounding the table for him.

He told the story of being diagnosed with diabetes, but how it turned his whole life around in a positive direction. The guys asked Mason about his body change and how he has picked up so much velocity on the fastball, which has reached 104 mph this season. Mason talked about watching a player like Aroldis Chapman growing up and now getting to share a field with him in 2024. Mason talked about some of the coolest moments he has had since entering the majors last year. Ryan said the Steelers are a much better team than they were this time last year following the 2024 draft. Ryan gave a quick review on the entire Steelers’ class.
