Pastor Jimmy started a new series at Wednesday Night Bible Study.  We are going to be going chapter by chapter through the book of Matthew! Wednesday Bible Study meets at 7pm in the Sanctuary.  If you miss a week, no worries, you can catch up on here on our podcast! 

Due to weather, Bible Study was virtual.  Pastor Jimmy started an introduction to the Old Testament. 

This is part 1 of a 3 part series about the Bible and how we can trust it. 

Pastor Jimmy starts back Bible Study with chapter 7 of Matthew.  Next week he will be starting an introduction to the Bible. 

Pastor Jimmy does a deep dive into Luke chapter 2 

Liz Ellison walks through Amos Chapter 8 and 9 during our Wednesday Night Bible Study.  She talks about the destruction that Israel is facing back in the time of Amos but also about the hope that Amos leaves the people after judgment. Amos also points to a future Messiah. 

Pastor Jimmy walks us through Chapter 7 of Amos. 

Unfortunately we had recording issues for chapter 3 and 4. This is chapters 5 & 6 of Amos. 

Pastor Jimmy goes verse by verse through chapter 2 of Amos.  In Chapter 2, Amos pronounces judgement on to Moab, Judah and on to Israel. 

Pastor Jimmy started a new book at Wednesday Night Bible Study.  The Minor Prophet of Amos is an important book.  Pastor Jimmy walks us through the background and chapter 1. 

Pastor Jimmy finishes up the Book of James as he goes verse by verse through Chapter 5. 

Pastor Jimmy takes us verse by verse through chapter 4 as we explore themes of judgment verse discernment and humbly yielding to God's authority.

Pastor Jimmy walks us verse by verse through chapter 3 of James.  We take a look at why teachers are held to a higher standard and the power of the tongue. 

Pastor Jimmy walks us through verse by verse in chapter 2.  In this chapter, James starts talking about how faith without good works is dead.  Verse 26 says  "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead."  Good works is what leaks out of faith in Jesus.  

Pastor Jimmy takes us through chapter 1 of the Book of James.  He walks us verse by verse as he explores topics such as what it means to have joy when you face trails of many kinds.
