Listen friends I am one of the sustainer creators of what I call the T9 formula ... Here it is Tell the truth.   Tell the truth    Tell the truth. ... And when people tell me something that's not true I respond quite abruptly, clearly, confidently and kindly and simply say,  That's not true. But I am very well known for my idea on teaching how truth works in our world today.  And so I have the reputation that with a twist and may be a little bit of a smile somebody would say, "are you still telling people not to tell the truth." Of course not but I am telling them something that will be very vital for them if they are in the world where telling the truth is important either in sales, marketing, business ethics, business behavior and encouraging people to change and do things differently. Some of the words of ancient wisdom were, "there's a time for everything, a time for peace and a time for war."  Well could it be that our life and business are now I'm going to be affected in some way by the fact that there's a lot of war going on in our world today, and the threat is that it not only will continue but grow. Obviously the people of Israel, this has affected everything and everybody, but there is a very good chance that this will affect you and your business in someway..l and there's a possibility that you might need some extraordinary courage strength and wisdom to help you figure out what to do.   Well obviously I don't know, but just as obviously as a young Jewish man rabbi teacher he would certainly fit the profile of what they were all about.  But I have something different to talk about it just might be good to know and think about in these terrible and tragic times. First of all if you were a follower of the man and you were in the world day what do you think he would do and what would you do.  He got very angry at the people who were cheating the poor people out of a few pence for the price of pigeons. So obviously when he sees hate and injustice and terrible things happening I don't know if he would just be an observer,  And we will talk about that so you can think about that and then what is going on why would the Hamas people put their own family and friends and what is going to be a humanitarian nightmare and catastrophe not only for a few Israelis ... But for many of their family and friends. Then ironically in the midst of a mess I became aware of how very blessed I am with many many sma

Once again we will get a lesson in people not getting the message.  Hamas was given the message repeatedly and they didn't get it and now they will get it,  and the Israelis will be reminded a message that they forgot, but now they might remember. I am in the business of helping people make sure that their message is powerful pointed and present and that people get it.  I have lots of stories to tell you about people who unfortunately are examples of a great quotation that says, the problem with communication is that most of the time it never happens. Don't worry this is not a political rant it is just a statement of reality but from this reality there are lessons in what is happening that will be vital for us all now that we know that we're going to have to be much better at communicating our messages and we're going to have to get ready for the world in life and business to really be tough in the fourth quarter. It's whatall the news is all about and you probably have already heard hundreds and thousands of opinions about it and there's very little reason why I should add anything to the clutter and maybe the noise, But I just might have a few minutes that might be helpful to you today as you kind of stir through the mess and missings of your own life, and make it at least for you a better week than usual.  As one of my mentors said to me, Stan the point of you being a real grown-up and being what you call a 3% person in many cases is just the ability without distress or fear to accept that reality is very real. And so I simply use one of my favorite expressions when it helps me talk about myself and with others and that is the realization that life is full of deep water, Thanks Stan

 To be one of the 3% means that you're probably going to be quite different because 97% of the people are different than you in a crucial way.  That may lead you to a good advantage but I also know it will lead you into difficult, believe me I know, to be good and possibly great is to attract difficulty and adversity. I guarantee that, So today in under 20 minutes in our future Friday conversation I want to quote one of my favorite Bible verses and I can pretty will be assured that it's not the favorite one for many people because it's very different. But would you join me in a little imaginative expedition, The story tells us Jesus who is very different came back to his hometown and in front of the people who knew him well and were aware of his goodness and his confidence and the fact that the community was better off because of him, offered him a chance to speak at the local place of worship., Their acclamation soon turned to incredible anger and they set out to kill him.  Certainly not a very good way to b

Today I want to share with you the secret that most people just don't know, and it's really not a secret at all. She was strong bold and braver than she knew but she was not much different than you, but she started to live differently that day. That was the day she made the statement above that she wanted to be one of the 3% and because we are different we have started our new year now so that we can get a Headstart and a bit of a leap and everybody else because we two want to be one of the 3%. And the sad fact is that most people have not a clue of what we're talking about and yet it could be one of the things that will inspire you and help to truly check charge of your Life and circumstances and begin to create a life in business that will put you in the place just right. So take a 20 minute coffee time out and listen to the story and then do a little self inspection on you and discover what might be some of the possibilities that could make this year, which unfortunately will be a mess for most people, and

 Yes, be one of the three. Her success started when after a workshop she came up to me and said, Stan I want to be one of the 3%. This week we're gonna take time to try and share with you some of the critical success factors that I have learned in my many years as a broadcaster and as a worldwide business performance coach. And in many ways it will all come down to you joining my friend and making that same statement and then spending lots of time every day doing things that will help you to be one of the successful select 3%... And one of the things you will have to do is start asking and answering some different and what appears from time to time to be crazy questions like this... What is the trouble with you? Of course the past is gone, the present is right here, but the mess is one that we cannot do very much about.  The leadership that we have in so many organizations and institutions continues to make life difficult for all of us except those who are fortunate enough to be perhaps very wealthy.  But with the rising lawlessness in the land even they are not safe anymore. So the motto and the directions that we need to have are very simple, looking forward.  So I challenge you with that,and revisit one of the key success and critical success factors in life and that is to seek to be in live as one of the select 3%.  And so I will mention that today but further explanation will follow. However it is time to remind ourselves that there are more important things than having all the good things and so there is a old story from an old book that can remind us the performance we give in difficult times and in bad situations it's not dependent on anything outside of us. It's good to remember that most of the people in the media are not the smartest or brightest people in the world. And the debate idea about the presidential candidates as it is presently constructed is a bad idea. It's not really a debate and let me tell you how they should do it that would be a lot better ... And again Donald Trump was not there and that was probably a smart thing for him to do and let me tell you why because whether you like him or not he's smart. Then let me remind you to remember this year to study the two men who put us into the air and taught us how to fly.  Read their story because you can learn a whole lot about being successful in life if you follow their example. And if you are trying to be successful in life and you are at at least your 50th year, and you should start younger much younger please remember that you were now to be in the business of teaching somebody, maybe manyi somebodys.   So please take my 20 minutes I'm going to challenge you a lot but I think you'll enjoy it bec

No it's not about doing the YouTube TED talks it's about something much simpler and it may be much more effective in helping you build relationships it will help you build your business.  I learned this many years ago from a man who learned it many years ago before that from his father who had been a successful businessman.  Today business people located around the world do much of their work by email and texting and other stuff like that and then doing so they don't communicate well and they don't communicate often enough and so I'm gonna tell you that if you're going to work with me you're gonna have to learn how to do a TED talk ..  We have been talking about words that begin with B in our approach to seeking to live a better life as we start a more traditional new year here in September and October. We have talked about belonging, about living a big life, about being bold and brave even as we are being old... And today the most important B word.  And one that we usually don't associate with the life we live the career we have and the business we're in, and maybe we should. So as our friends in the Jewish tradition celebrate the holiest day of the year with prayer and fasting and ended with feasting and celebrating... Indeed a celebration that they know that they are forgiven and they can now enjoy their forgiveness and have a clean slate and start all over again in a new year, What would you call knowing that you are forgiven and that you have a clean slate to start life over again this year? On this Sunday night as we get ready to meet the week and meet the marketplace no world in which the leader ship of most things cannot be trusted anymore, what should we think about and what should we do on this ninth day. Yes that is a question that I'm trying to deal with. As I have said many times this program is about interesting ideas so that you can become more interesting, have a greater insight about life and business, have a greater influence in your world and perhaps the world, make an impact and have good things come to you. A true income ...  do you know what that means?  With your permission give me 15 minutes on this Saturday evening flowing into the Sunday to listen to my story about some friends who describe one of their guests on their radio program as a woman who had truly lived a big life. OK it is day seven of the days of AWE as we seek to get ready to have an awesome new year by doing new things in our old world.... Perhaps it's time to even seek to be brand new? One of the things that you should do every year is to figure out whether you are a BELONGER  or a LONER is just where you belong this year and who do you belong to, and does anything or anybody belong to you. You may not have ever heard that Xpress that way but Taylor Swift has a song that says you belong to me... Well I'm not sure that she means that for me but it's very good for me to know who I belong to and what belongs to me so that I can live life more effectively and with greater compassion and passion in the things that are important to me, and even to discover that maybe there are things that I can let go of and don't need anymore. The year is always about hope for the next 365 days until I ask you to take some time to figure out your logins and your belongings! Thanks Stan

 That's right we're going to hear about the stories that truly change the world when two modest brothers from Ohio who ran a bicycle shop and never thought that they could be any kind of entrepreneurs did so, and went from bicycle riding to flying.  That's why I called them with the part of the word, indeed the wRight brothers. And I will give you a little cautious word about expecting applause and congratulations when you do something great insignificant.  I am back from the outer banks and enjoyed the wisdom and the rest and perhaps some of the ways to live better as I walk the beautiful seashore.  I have once again discovered in my move to North Carolina home Porten it is for me to get some good SEA time on a regular basis. And while I was away I didn't do any radio or television for 10 days and you may not have miss me but that's OK and it's more important that I do what is important and that is to be better repaired to help and serve others. Because that is the meaning of life, how to serve others. I am starting my thoughts about the new year away from the studio and enjoying a place to think and play and pray as we enjoy the beautiful seaside life of the Outer Banks of North Carolina, And we begin this week of thinking about the new year and the future that is before us by reminding me and perhaps reminding you of a program that we did just about a year ago in which in the midst of all the mess of the world that we can do nothing about we can change ourselves in profound ways and maybe one of the changes we need to do is to become more fully alive and more fully human. And indeed that is a good question, and then someone else said "are there any such things left anymore?"  Well let me tell you what I mean when I put out that greeting most every day that I'm on the radio. And perhaps it's a sign of my age or just a desire to return to what might be a more civilized way of living and relating to each other. And this is not a deep dive into the subject at all but just simply some reflections and ideas about how we might find a way to be a little bit better right now and how we live our lives, how we project ourselves, and how we treat others. Right now the world is in a mess and the leadership that we have has no clue about how to make it better.   So maybe it's up to us in our own ways to be men and women, and ladies and gentlemen in such a way that our very power, our confidence, our clarity and convictions, will be evident to many and in some way the world will be a little bit better ... ... This is a major holiday in the United States. It is Labor Day... And of course there's a story behind that even though most people have forgotten what the story really is because for most it's just another nice holiday at the end of the summer and the start of the rest of the season. However for me and the people who follow me it's also the start of the new year season and a time to think about doing new things.  But before we do that it's important for you and I to think about labor pains and think about the life of  so many people who are the way they make their living is just hard, often dirty, often sweaty, sometimes painful hard hard work. Yes indeed that's part of the story of labor pains. And then when I'm feeling kind of challenged and slightly down I need to revisit a little sane saying which in effect says to me, "stan, don't even wish for, don't even pray for an easy life."
