On October 25 2017, Spirit of 2012 held a Summit to launch our first legacy report. Our legacy report showcased the findings of the impact of our first free years of funding. Martin was Head of Ceremonies for London 2012. For many people the Opening Ceremony was the moment they first realised how special the London 2012 Games would be. Martin is now the Chief Executive of Hull 2017 City of Culture Spirit Connection: Spirit has invested £2.85m in Hull UK City of Culture including a health and wellbeing study and the volunteering programme In these podcasts, we’ll share our panel’s discussion on sporting and cultural legacy and the creation and staging of events.

On October 25 2017, Spirit of 2012 held a Summit to launch our first legacy report. Our legacy report showcased the findings of the impact of our first free years of funding. Nancy Hey set up the world’s first 'What Works Centre for Wellbeing' that aims to understand what governments, business, communities and individuals can do to increase wellbeing. She is an experienced policy professional and coach who has worked with the UK’s top Civil Servants to introduce wellbeing into public policy. Wellbeing is one of Spirit’s core outcomes, and we take a keen interest in the What Works Centre. Jude Kelly is the Artistic Director of the Southbank Centre, Britain’s largest cultural institution, she also initiated the WOW – Women of the World Festivals in 2011. We have awarded £723,000 (funding) to take 9 WOW Festivals to Bradford, Perth, Exeter, Norwich and Cardiff between 2016-2018.
