Unearthly Season 2 Ep. 23

After Liz joins the Marsh family for a game of Ouija Board, she realizes that Mrs. Marsh has an agenda: to find out what happened to her sister, Rita. As the Ouija seasons continue, the group is left with more questions than answers…and Liz begins to suspect that sometimes the truth isn’t worth the risk.

The Marsh’s are unlike any family Liz’s has ever encountered. They are reserved, serious, and quiet. She’s fine with that since her relationship with Jamie is going no where…but after a night of playing the Ouija Board, she learns that maybe there is more to this family than meets the eye.

When a hard-working student has a strange and unexplained occurrence of missing time while walking home one night, he begins to question his sanity. He almost managed to put about the strange night out of his mind, when months later he is awoken by a peculiar humming sound and bright light. If you’ve listened to episode 1, Nanny’s Bear, you’ll know that I started the podcast with a story based on my very own first paranormal experience. When I was outlining the rest of the season, I thought it be fitting to end with another personal paranormal story. Especially since this experience happened while I was with Eileen and Emily. As mentioned before, Eileen is Unearthly editor and sound effect maverick while her wife, Emily is responsible for the art work for each episode and logo. How lucky am I to have such creative friends? It’s not lost on me that I wouldn’t have been able to put this podcast out if it wasn’t for them, so yes, I felt it was very fitting to share this story. Now normally people will either tell me or send me a summary of their experiences, I interview them, and then I set off to write. But that’s not how this episode came to be. I wasn’t planning on doing a valentine’s day special, but after interviewing Regina and hearing her paranormal experience, I knew that this story was the perfect one for this week. I think you’ll understand why by the end of this episode. Regina is thrilled to move into her boyfriend’s house. Even if the home is old, a bit run down and kinda spooky. But she isn’t afraid. She falls in love with the house, and feels right at home. Even if it is haunted by a man who enjoys her company a little too much. It isn’t long before Regina and the spirit strike an unusual secret relationship. When the spirit makes his feelings known, Regina realizes that even in death, some things, never change. Although, Regina was eager to share her story with me, she asked that her name, and the name of her boyfriend (who’s now her husband) be changed to protect their privacy.
