Cynthia's marriage is failing due to being unable to conceive and also because both her and her husband are Type-A to the extreme. In a last ditch effort to save their marriage they concoct a plan to get their friends together and go to a resort called Eden, where world class therapists, food, adventures and fun await. While their friends are hesitant about the therapy portion of the resort, they do all go to the island together. At dinner that night everyone realizes - as a hardbound agenda is passed around - that the bulk of their time will be spent in therapy and other relationship building programs. Only Cynthia and Jason are excited about this. Because they are both so afraid of failure and imperfection - they have come prepared with lists of their issues, what they believe they should work on and what they'd like the end result to be.
