Cora is a secret Metro City girl who resides on earth, scavenging and refurbishing robots. Earth, which has been turned into a junkyard by all the rich people who live in the clouds, is where she meets Astro Boy, a misfit metro city drop out. He fits right in with Cora and her band of dirty scavengers, and helps them rebuild a giant robot named Zog. However, Hamegg the leader of the orphans, reveals Astro Boy to be a robot and Cora is betrayed.
