Beth is a type A older sister with a distaste for love. When her younger sister has a shotgun wedding in Rome, Beth heads there reluctantly. She is more concerned with her upcoming art show than her sister's sudden nuptials. During the wedding, sparks fly between Beth and Nick, the best man. Just when Beth is about to take a chance on the attraction, she spies Nick with a saucy Italian woman in a red dress and she gives up on the notion completely and finishes out the night alone, in a city fountain, downing a bottle of wine. In her despair, she plucks several coins from the fountain and unknowingly curses herself with a love spell that binds the casters of the coins to her. Back in NYC she is bombarded by a magician, a model, a meats-man and an artist. And Nick. They hunt her down, infiltrating her day-to-day life bombarding her with art, magic tricks, baskets of meats and promises of love.
