Julia Caroline Youngblood grew up surrounded by cotton fields on Breston Plantation, a historic ancestral home located in Riverton, Louisiana. She attended Louisiana State University where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting with a minor in French language, graduating Magna cum Laude. Youngblood pursued graduate work at Syracuse University, New York, and received her Master of Fine Arts degree from Louisiana Tech University with a concentration in Drawing and Painting. She also completed her 200-hour RYT training at Shrimath Yoga (Bihar School) near Bangalore, India in 2015. She received Reiki in January 2017 when she met her first Reiki teacher, Linda Drake, in Austin and received attunements to traditional Usui Reiki. I, I, & III.
