Hellovision!

It's that time of year again, folks! Fall TV seasons is here and Chris and Casey do the news without Shiggins who is busy writing a fancy essay (or just connecting conspiracy theories in secret!). Topics include the VMAs, James Carville pushing whiskey, and they actually talk about some sports. Then the boys are joined by Hollywood hot shot, Dana Wickens (also the third girl on the show ever!) to discuss all the new Fall TV shows and pass early judgment on what looks good, what looks terrible and what we're excited to see return. It's in depth criticism at its finest!

Chris returns from vacation! Baby Snooki! Flight! Shiggins hates TV (now get back in your cage!)! Burn Notice Finally! Greased Lightning! Go On! Everybody Hated Chris! And Grimm! And…Womanhood.

It's time for another minisode with Shiggins and returning guest host Chris Sampson to discuss the "hit" ABC Family show "Bunheads!" Chris is calling from Skype and cuts in and out like crazy and the show is generally of poor audio quality! Anyways, Casey kinda liked it but wants more Alan Ruck, and Shawn and Chris are 100% on board and disagree with Casey's Emma Stone comparison! And seriously, Chris sounds rough. Bear with it. This is a minisode for a reason!

In a slightly poorly recorded edition of Hellovision, Chris is on vacation and is replaced by Chris Sampson of Enjoy Your Day infamy! We discuss the Olympics again, Chris imagines a more ridiculous way to play Water Polo, Hand Ball is confusing, NBC is a horrible network and Casey has a hard time with the musical guest's name and is sitting in a creaky chair! In the second half, harrowing tales of Rollerbladers and the art of the segue is not lost as the guys discuss motorcycles, how Breaking Bad is going off the rails (HA!), how The Newsroom is not worthy of HBO, and Arli$$ is still a dumb show.

The boys are back and discuss news, the Olympics, and come to the conclusion that streaming original tv shows are pretty terrible. Shocker!

Casey starts some beef with Huffington Post's shitty TV reviewers and defends The Newsroom, Dish Network is being stubborn, the guys lament lack of choice, the return of "What Are You Watching?", an experiment in web TV series, and we propose a live viewing party for the SURE TO BE HUGE HIT, "ANGER MANAGEMENT!"

Episode 50 is finally here and BOY OH BOY, DID WE NOT PREPARE! Talk of some TV, what we SHOULD HAVE DONE for this anniversary episode,  lot of personal talk, we try and choose the 2011-2012 TV Season All Stars, and to celebrate, A BLOOPER REEL! Trust us folks, we'll make up for this one in the next 50 episodes.

Join us for an episode in which we discuss news, flaming Dr. Pepper's, the viability of replacing cable with streaming services, whether it's better to binge on tv shows or enjoy them slowly like a fine wine, Casey and Shiggins feel smarter for watching The West Wing, and Chris has a daunting date with Daria!

Casey sits this one out to let Shiggins, Chris and returning guest Russ Seyfert to discuss the merits of The Voice, Casey's crush on Abbey Elliot, Russ asks the tough questions regarding whether or not Aimee Teegarden can even act, more talk of Downton Abbey, and a rundown of the new Sherlock Holmes based show "Elementary" which sounds terrible! Later on, the boys ask Russ, "What Are You Watching?!" with discussion of Justified, Luck, Shiggins compares David Milch to The Clash (which surprisingly works!). Finally, OSCAR TALK! Barbs against Billy Crystal, nobody saw The Artist, and The Muppets are still charming! Also, BLACK FACE IS NOT A GOOD IDEA!

On this, a special edition of "Hellovision! After Dark" Chris and Casey are joined by first-time guest host Nick Largey to discuss all manner of TV news, but mostly to talk about The Simpson's and their impending 500th episode. It pretty much just involves all of them talking about their favorite quotes, moments, episodes, etc. while Casey and Chris get increasingly tired. It's charming in an amateurish way! 

While Shiggins is away, Casey and Chris discuss the versatility of eggs, discuss the Superbowl a bit and upcoming commercials, Casey declares his love of Cougartown from the tops of mountains, Chris discusses his impending trip to Mexico, we breakdown new Bud Lite Platinum and the world is introduced to Hamm-O-Grams!

The countdown to episode 50 begins here! It's 2012 and so we begin another year of Hellovision the best way we know how: with talk of the weather! But after that BORING STUFF we get back at it, with news, talk of The Golden Globes and how much Casey hates them, we theorize that activists are ruining tv and so are audiences, and then some other stuff happens and we assure you it's all stuff worth listening to! After the break, the boys get classy and discuss all the great British television they're currently indulging in, including talk about Sherlock, Downton Abbey, The Hour and more! CRUMPETS AND TEA OVER HERE! Also, we have a phone number you can leave us an anniversary message on! It's (317) HLL-OVSN! Do it!

On this, our last full episode of 2011, the boys discuss some news, a reference to Brocktoon, Chris doesn't give a fuck about Punk'd, and then discuss our favorite holiday tv shows/specials!  In the second half, we're joined by fellow podcasters Nick Schurk and N. Floyd (or Nicole F. if you prefer) from Nick and Nicole Epic Bros.! They join us for talk of Newhart, Casey gets real with his metaphors, and the triumphant return of Build a Show! What is Supermarket Sweetums? Tune in to find out!

On this catch up episode of Hellovision, Casey apologizes for being so tired last week, puts all the listeners demanding our review of The Cosby Mysteries at ease, and insists on eating dinner while recording (sorry!), Chris reads some news without doing proper research, and Shiggins needs to make a soundboard! Also, the boys deal with how to ensure everybody who downloads the show actually listens to it. INTRIGUING! And a good old fashioned "What Are You Watching?!" In the second half, it's that time of year again: Winter Hiatus! The boys segue from first world problems to picking apart the current season of Dexter and can Casey and Chris convince Shiggins to start rewatching either Boardwalk Empire and/or Dexter?! Non-voting hippies, gather round for a truly great episode of Hellovision with special co-host, Kristina Hansen! She's back for the first time since way back in Episode 11 to discuss news, RooneyWiki, the boring debut of Hell On Wheels, Absolutely Fabulous' return, and to verify that the Beach Boys were a good band. Later, we try to discuss the ability to OD on TV shows but go way off topic to examine why Kristina watched all of Sex and the City in a little over a week and Casey introduces Shiggins to The Cosby Mysteries. Oh and a Wings reference for good measure.

This week the boys get into all sortsa mischief! News from Chris, the debut of three new features: Cheers & Beers, Dad Chat, and Shiggins' Book Nook! We also hear about some disturbing updates regarding Darryl Hammond, Tom Hanks' new show sounds vague, "1600 Penn" sounds even more vague, and some other stuff. In the second half, we're joined by new friend of the show Jeff Zito! Jeff and the guys have an in depth discussion about the the tv "renassance" of the early 2000s and whether or not TV today holds up or is on the decline. Do we agree or disagree? Listen to find out!

In this week's belated episode: Casey wants to be a Nielsen rater, Try to avoid Breaking Bad spoilers despite Shiggins' best efforts, Casey and Shiggins miss a good A.C. Slater joke opportunity, American Horror Story is just plain weird y'all, tons of drama with The Simpsons, and the return of Arrested Development! And music by Tyler Jon Tyler! In the second half, the guys discuss whether or not they think that audiences will flock to their computers and the internet to watch the latest new TV shows or whether companies like Hulu or NetFlix will become the new breeding ground for young television talent! On this, our milestone 40th episode, Chris dishes on some news, Shiggins misses Nash Bridges, and New Girl is a Hit! Meanwhile, Chris misquotes a famous commercial, Casey thinks Person of Interest is bonkers and discusses what he'd do if he were a Nielson rater, The Wonder Years are not so wonderful, and Chris and Shiggs are frustrated with How I Met Your Mother.
