Scherzer and Wheeler had excellent starts and Wander Franco continues his historic on-base streak. Kevin then discusses an update to the betting odds for all of the awards. Ohtani remains the runaway leader for the AL MVP and Fernando Tatis Jr. returning from injury remains the favorite in the NL. The NL Cy Young Award is the award that is currently most up for grabs. Walker Buehler and Corbin Burnes are the top two candidates and it could still go either way. Kevin wraps up the episode by giving his goal for each team with one month remaining in the season. The goals range from winning home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, to playing in the wild card game, to avoiding 115 losses.
