In the simplest form, a refinance is a replacement of your current home loan with a new home loan or mortgage that offers better terms or maybe less risk. Because there has been a major move in mortgage rates in Raleigh and all over the U.S. at the time of this recording, there is a ton of noise about refinancing right now.  Just because there is noise, it does not mean refinancing your current home loan makes sense — or does it?
