Hey, Pearls! This week, our Friday Favorites Series continues. Jaimie and Porsha are telling you about their favorite preachers because they love hearing the Word of God proclaimed! They love some of the most well-known preachers in the black church tradition like Cynthia Hale, Samuel DeWitt Proctor, Otis Moss III, Jeremiah Wright, Gina Stewart, and Howard-John Wesley. But, they also want to introduce you to some of the dynamic preachers you might not know like Neichelle Guidry, Amy Butler, Almeda Wright, and Dionne Boissiere. Plus, this episode features a powerful reflection by Dr. Cona Marshall on the responsibility of black women to keep speaking truth to power, and Porsha teaches us that the patriarchy that has become so deeply ingrained in church culture is petty.
