Just 2 Pearls

Hey, Pearls! Happy Labor Day weekend. It is the last week of summer which sadly means that on this episode of Just 2 Pearls, Jaimie and Porsha conclude their Friday Faves series. This episode is about some of their favorite TV shows. Some Pearl favorites include America's Next Top Model (with Tyra Banks as the host), Empire, Nashville, This Is Us, How To Get Away With Murder, Full House, The Tudors, Being Mary Jane, Queen Sugar, Underground, Greenleaf, and the Carmichael Show. Porsha graciously humored Jaimie while she spoke at length about her abiding affection for the deeply problematic Bachelor franchise on ABC. Finally, Porsha pointed out how petty it is that amazing shows like Underground that are brilliantly executed get canceled while we privilege reality shows that do not provide positive representations of black life.
