Ep. 62 - Murray Cook (The Wiggles)

Sinopsis

Murray Cook is one of the founding members of Australian children’s music group The Wiggles. Easily recognisable in his red skivvy with a guitar around his neck, Murray played in the band for 20 years and recorded an enormous amount of records (an album every year and sometimes more!). At their peak they were known to play up to 40 shows a month and on average were playing to a million people every year, that definitely makes them one of the hardest working bands in showbiz. Guitar Magazine once speculated that since Cook was one of the first guitarists children were exposed to, he might be the most influential guitarist in the world, nice one Murray! Since leaving the Wiggles in 2012 Murray has been focusing on his new project The Soul Movers which just released a new record entitled ‘Evolution’. Murray and I caught up in Sydney to talk about infinite Wiggledom, American stalkers, The Soul Movers, touring like a madman, what makes a children’s hit single and a bunch more.
